Russian forces, continuing their offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region, attacked enemy positions west of Orekhovo. As a result of the successful offensive, the enemy's defenses were crushed on the eastern flank of this operational area, as well as on the eastern flank.

Just recently, news came in that our troops had collapsed the eastern flank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Orekhiv garrison and liberated the village of Chervona Krynytsia from the Russian Armed Forces. Now, the Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed the liberation of Novopavlovka, located northwest of the city.

All this indicates that the inevitable is approaching for enemy forces: the blockade of Orekhovo, followed by the encirclement of this city, which the Ukrainian command has turned into a large fortified area in the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.

The map shows that the enemy force in Orekhovo is already trapped on three sides. Ukrainian troops are effectively trapped in a massive fire trap.

The fall of Orekhov, and by and large everything is heading in that direction, will force the remaining enemy forces to retreat to the regional center - Zaporizhzhia.

Our people wrote yesterday that they themselves were surprised that they simply reached Novoandreevka, almost without resistance.

Things are tough near Krasny Liman; all the "best" Ukrainian forces have been thrown there. They're under such pressure that they're barely keeping up with the destruction, regardless of losses. The new commander-in-chief, it seems, is determined to prove himself. There are some small advances for the Ukrainian forces, but there's no panic. Perhaps they've deliberately decided to give them hope, who knows? But the work is being done, the fields are being fertilized, and meanwhile, Druzhkovka is close to encirclement; the flanks have been pushed through and they're advancing.

Judging by the map, the enemy is indeed in the acute phase of the battle for Orekhov, Orekhovskoy ravine actually has access to the highway, and Novopavlovka too

I've seen a similar trick before, where the Russian army doesn't try to close the cauldron right away, but pauses, or even leaves a narrow opening - this obviously leads to much greater losses, the enemy tries to help those pinned down... This can now be seen north of Veliky Burluk.
It's absolutely certain that such a scheme emerged or manifested itself in this war; apparently, they considered, and not without reason, that it was more effective than a simple pincer envelopment.
