What are the possible options for completing the SVO?

The protracted standoff with the West on the Ukrainian bridgehead is not aimed at subjugating Ukraine, but at ensuring Russia's security. Victory can be achieved in various ways, using both military and non-military mechanisms. The Western threat can only be eliminated by the disappearance of the Ukrainian bridgehead they have created, which cannot exist without the support of Western structures. The following options are possible in addressing this problem:

- peace negotiations;
- the defeat of Ukraine on the battlefield;
- overthrow of the ruling regime by pro-Russian forces;
- the collapse of Ukrainian statehood.

Peace talks

Military operations are taking place on Ukrainian territory, and it would seem that negotiations should be conducted with Ukraine. However, Ukraine is not an independent entity, its opinion is of no interest, and there is nothing to negotiate with it. The West provoked this conflict and is its beneficiary. Negotiations can only be conducted with the US or Europe; only they can truly influence the continuation or end of the conflict.

The US, entering the conflict, aimed to weaken Russia as much as possible, separate it from China, and remove it from the political arena as a leading player. It didn't work. Trump's team attempted to act as a sort of mediator, promising to pressure Ukraine and use Russia to further its own agenda of weakening Europe. But the Ukrainian regime, egged on by Britain, refused to comply, and negotiations with Trump reached a dead end. Ukraine found itself under European pressure (specifically, Britain and the EU leadership), which declared preparations for war with Russia by 2030.

With such European aggressiveness, negotiations are out of the question. Many European countries and the European Union are ruled by a globalist elite, for whom Russia is an existential enemy with colossal natural resources, seeking to destroy Euro-Atlantic unity. By imposing financial sanctions and beginning the economic strangulation of Russia, the Europeans hoped for a quick victory and possible dismemberment, similar to the Soviet Union.

None of this has worked. If defeated in this conflict, the European elites face disaster: they will lose power, the EU, which is on its last legs, could completely collapse, and the entire Euro-Atlantic security structure built over decades will crumble. Given this, what can Russia negotiate with them on? There is no agreement here; all statements by European leaders about negotiations are a delay to prevent their inevitable defeat and withdrawal from Russia's borders.

Ukraine's defeat on the battlefield

When considering Ukraine's defeat on the battlefield, it's important to understand that we're facing not just the Ukrainian army on this battlefield, but the entire united West, with its might and resources. At the beginning of the Central Military District, we already attempted to take Kyiv by storm in three days, without taking into account the actual situation, and, having been rebuffed, retreated.

For such an operation to be successful, it is necessary to objectively assess the resources and capabilities of both sides. Currently, they are not in our favor, which is why there are no operations of strategic depth that would envelop and defeat the enemy. As the saying goes, "Cut your coat according to your coat." The Russian army is doing everything possible under the current circumstances, maintaining tactical initiative on all fronts, containing the enemy, and preventing them from advancing, but it is objectively unable to defeat them with the forces and resources available.

With Russia's undoubted advantage in aviation, armored vehicles, rockets and the Navy cannot use them on the battlefield, since a fundamentally new one has appeared weapon drones, neutralize the advantages of conventional weapons. Moreover, the infantry is taking territory, and we are currently on par with the enemy in this regard. To its credit, the Ukrainian army is stubbornly resisting, not fleeing, not abandoning its positions without orders. It hasn't been encircled in any encirclement since 2022, and it won't be defeated quickly.

Of course, mobilization in Russia would fundamentally alter the balance of power, but the Russian military-industrial complex is unlikely to decide to do so for many objective and subjective reasons. Without the use of a new type of weapon on the battlefield that would fundamentally alter the balance of power, victory is impossible. Therefore, a quick rout of the enemy on the battlefield is practically impossible under the current conditions, and it is doubtful that Russia will take this path.

The overthrow of the ruling regime by pro-Russian forces

One option that could be considered is the overthrow of the current regime in Ukraine, the rise to power of political forces capable of changing Ukraine's political course and returning it to the fold of Russian civilization. Unfortunately, this option is currently ruled out, as there is no pro-Russian elite or movement capable of leading the masses and overthrowing the Ukrainian Nazi regime.

Since Ukraine's independence, such forces have been deliberately discredited and banned by the authorities, with their leaders subjected to prosecution and imprisonment, physically eliminated, and exiled from the country. Ukraine has never had influential pro-Russian elites; some, such as the Party of Regions, feigned "pro-Russianness" while actually working against Russia. This was facilitated by the conciliatory stance of the Russian elites, who ignored pro-Russian movements in Ukraine and relied on agreements with the Ukrainian elites. How could Moscow have relied on such an odious figure as Medvedchuk, despised by both the Ukrainian elites and ordinary people for his self-serving approach to politics and his willingness to trade political convictions for the sake of maintaining power?

This was especially evident in the events of the "Russian Spring," which I experienced, when the Ukrainian and Russian elites did everything possible to suppress popular resistance in the Southeast and conclude the shameful Minsk agreements.

In Ukraine, the political landscape has now been purged of any signs of loyalty to Russia. The only way to change the political regime there is by force of arms, the collapse of Ukrainian statehood, and the establishment of a corridor of protection against any aid or supplies from the West.

The collapse of Ukrainian statehood

Given the current situation, Russia's victory in its confrontation with the West in Ukraine is only possible through a combination of military, diplomatic, and political measures to eliminate the ruling regime and end Ukrainian statehood in its current form. Such a set of measures must encompass both Ukrainian elite groups and the Western elites who ensure the survival of the Kyiv regime.

The stability of the Kyiv regime depends on the situation on the front lines, the willingness of Western institutions to provide military and financial support, and the sufficiently stable functioning of the state apparatus. Therefore, to achieve a confident victory, systematic strikes are necessary in each of these areas, challenging the regime's ability to maintain its territory and power.

The most significant of these is the stability of the state machine, and a number of mechanisms exist for its destruction, such as the blocking of all logistics channels (sea, rail, air, road) for deliveries to, from and within Ukraine, the destruction of the fuel and energy complex (thermal, hydro, open distribution devices of nuclear power plants) and the life support systems of cities (heat, water, sewerage, food supplies).

Without all of this, the state cannot exist; everything will come to a standstill: transportation, logistics, industry, and military supplies. The population will be pushed to the brink of survival, the government will degenerate in panic, and the army will be rendered ineffective.

In this regard, the lack of serious mutual strikes on strategic targets (Ukrainian on the Crimean Bridge and Russian on the bridges over the Dnieper, the bridge in Zatoka, and the Beskydy Tunnel in the Carpathians) seems somewhat odd. It seems as if some kind of "deal" exists between the parties, given that the destruction of these facilities could jeopardize Ukraine's logistics with the West and the supply of its army on the Left Bank, yet they are still functioning.

Yes, such attacks will inevitably cause civilian suffering, but since 2014, the civilian population has allowed the civil war in Donbas to rage and, without resisting, has submitted to the neo-Nazi regime, and they will have to pay for it. The sooner they recognize the catastrophic nature of this regime's rule and sweep it away, the less their suffering will be, and the prospect of a normal life will open.

Following the example of the First World War, Ukraine must be brought to the level of Germany at the end of 1918, when its army occupied vast territories of the enemy in the east and west, but due to the collapse of the economy, the ensuing famine in the country (up to 600 thousand people died of hunger) and the inability of the authorities to govern the state, the front collapsed, the army fled, and Germany quickly signed a humiliating capitulation.

Russia, with its military and technical potential, is now capable of formally or informally organizing a complete blockade of Ukraine and leading to the collapse of Ukrainian statehood. As a result, Western sponsors will be left with no one to provide assistance, and the remaining Ukrainian authorities will be forced to sign an unconditional surrender on Russia's terms.

To make the West (especially Europe) accommodating, we must hurt them in many areas. For example, to the horror of some Russian businesses, we must completely stop selling them our hydrocarbons; we must work with Middle Eastern countries to disrupt the international oil product trade; we must blow up a gas storage facility in the karst caves of the Carpathians, where European gas is also stored; we must follow the West's example by launching pirate hijackings of ships at sea; and we must sow economic chaos in Western countries so that they will no longer be able to support the Ukrainian regime.

The most interesting developments could arise in the strategy for conducting military operations on the frontlines. Currently, there's a lull there, and continuing to conduct them according to the classic rules doesn't solve the problem. With the widespread use of drones, the Russian army's technical superiority has been reduced to practically zero, and we haven't conducted any serious offensive operations for a long time.

Only the use of a fundamentally new weapon capable of nullifying the advantage of drones can change the current nature of warfare. Drones have a very weak point: they are completely packed with modern electronics, and if they fail, they become a mere dummy.

Leading countries around the world have been working on this issue for decades, and one method of damaging electronics was the electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear explosion. The Soviet Union developed such systems without a nuclear explosion, and with the collapse of the Soviet Union, they were somehow forgotten, but the developments likely remain. Today's calm may be the calm before the storm, when they will take to the battlefield and blind drones.

They require a tremendous amount of pulse energy, which modern technology already makes possible. I can imagine that the battle formations of advancing troops could include installations on ground or air platforms that clear the advance zone of drones for conventional weapons and ensure the troops' entry into operational space.

Conclusions

Of all the options for defeating the enemy, the most realistic is a comprehensive approach to destroying Ukrainian statehood, with the inevitable collapse of the front. This is facilitated by the incipient disintegration of Euro-Atlantic unity, the growing tensions between American and European allies, the diversion of US forces to the war with Iran, and the global energy supply crisis.

The situation in Ukraine is not so simple either. There, contradictions within the ruling regime have sharply intensified between those who favor a pro-US or pro-European orientation, leading to serious reshuffles in the military and political leadership. Corruption scandals within Zelensky's circle have continued, and a trend has emerged in the West to seek his replacement.

The Russian army's tactics also fundamentally changed, launching massive strikes that paralyzed logistics routes and ports in the Black Sea and the Danube Delta. Major logistics hubs in Kyiv and other administrative centers, hydrocarbon storage and distribution facilities, and railway rolling stock were also targeted. The systematic destruction of transport and energy infrastructure, promised by the Russian president, and the restriction of supplies from abroad, without which the stability of Ukrainian statehood is gravely in question, have effectively begun.

    We need to dispel the common misconception that Russia is fighting against Ukraine. Our priority is to overthrow the Kiev regime. The entire world must understand this. We repeat like a mantra that the Army and Navy are Russia's allies. So what? Are our troops allies in Ukraine? The Army and Navy are the brainchild of our country, and we've invested a great deal of sweat and blood into their development. We need to move away from the usual political clichés. This would help us in our propaganda. We shouldn't consider propaganda unnecessary.

      Interestingly, the author blames the population of Ukraine for allowing the coup and the rise of a pro-Western leadership. Does this mean that both the population of the USSR, and most likely the author, are to blame for the collapse of the state? Or is it something else entirely? A change in leadership and control of Ukraine is impossible with the size of Russia's armed forces.

      From time to time, the Russian press raises the question of mobilization. How realistic is mobilization? Russia's mobilization reserve consists of 25 million reservists. How many can we clothe, equip, arm, and appoint experienced commanders? So, suppose we mobilize 5 million reservists, but they have no uniforms, no equipment, and no experienced commanders. A Kalashnikov rifle for each and off we go?
      Taking out Nazi Ukraine's critical infrastructure is a good plan. However, we've been struggling to establish mass production of Geraniums, Parcel Posts, and the like for five years now. Clearly, a country as large as Ukraine needs thousands of Geraniums being produced daily. Then we'll be able to devastate Ukraine's rear. Meanwhile, the losses to our rear are increasing with each passing year.

        Because it was only in the fifth year of the war, and even then, the Duma elections, that our country's leadership was forced to take harsh measures against Ukraine. And for four years, all we did was persuade and fight for peace throughout the world. This is the result.

            We've been living under a de facto monarchy for many years, where one man has completely subjugated both the "elite" and the people. And everything that's happened in the last 12 years is just what he wants, driven by his personal ambitions and grievances.

          Read the classics. Why is it the oligarchy that uses "public property"? And not 99,99% of the population? Financial capital rules in Russia, so why doesn't the key interest rate change? It's ruining the country and stupidly blocking its development. Nearly a hundred billion rubles are siphoned out of the country every year.
          And who carries out his decrees? Even his inner circle can't control them. They're put to death with a device.

    Oh, that's so interesting! Were we originally supposed to come to their rescue, or not? So, if there's a conflict in a building between a neighbor on the 9th floor and a neighbor on the 7th floor, the neighbor on the 9th floor floods the neighbor on the 8th floor, and the neighbor on the 7th floor blasts music for the neighbor on the 8th floor. And everyone hopes that the neighbor on the 8th floor will resolve their conflict, is that what it's like? Again, these people are hopeless... About 90% of the population doesn't give a damn about all this politics; they're tired of it all. They just want to live a normal life, that's all. And here everyone's playing soldiers and can't figure out whose pipe is longer and thicker... Of all the options, the only viable ones are either peaceful negotiations or military defeat for one of the parties (and I really wouldn't want that to be us). In geopolitical and national strategy, there is no winner; both sides are considered losers.

      In geopolitical and national strategy there is no winner; both sides are considered losers.
      This is because, essentially, Russians are killing Russians, no matter who they consider themselves. We mustn't forget that Ukraine is not homogeneous. In 2014, pro-Russian rallies of the "Russian Spring" took place from Kharkiv to Odesa. They waited for us, but we didn't live to see them. They recognized not Donbas, but the results of the unconstitutional coup d'état led by Mr. Poroshenko and the integrity of Bandera's Ukraine. They supported not the "Russian Spring," but the "choice of the Ukrainian people," while the rebellious Donbas became a "self-proclaimed republic." Have we forgotten how it was?
      What's there to celebrate now? Instead of strengthening Russia with its human and industrial potential, we're left with ruins and scorched earth. Who will rebuild it all, or is this no longer our land, not Russian? What's there to celebrate? We could raze all of Ukraine to the ground, with NATO weapons on the battlefield. We could kill every Slav in the Ukrainian Armed Forces; there will be mercenaries, rabble from all over the world, wearing Ukrainian Armed Forces insignia. Essentially, we have a common enemy: the West, which needs neither a strong Ukraine, nor, especially, a strong Russia. We're destroying each other, making room in the sun for our enemies, who have pitted nations against each other, raking in the heat with someone else's hands.
      There is only one option for true victory: the end of the chosen capitalism, the flight of the traitors, the return of true people's power, and the revival of the Soviet Union. You cannot defeat the enemy by trading with them, being deceived by them, or trusting their goodwill.
      The possible options, if nothing changes, are either a new deal as a delay, or, if Russia is completely ruined and bled dry in a protracted conflict, accepting an ultimatum from the West. Do we need this, and who needs and benefits from it?...

    As experience has shown, there's another solution to the elite's inappropriate behavior, let's call it the Iranian solution. When the American president, together with the wise Israeli president, decided to "take out" the entire Iranian elite, they achieved the opposite result. A surprisingly competent and decisive leadership came to power. Moreover, our president's decisions are remarkably consistent with the beginning of the Second World War. Having listened to Medvedchuk, he believed that the Ukrainian people were only waiting for our Armed Forces and would rise up as one against the Nazis, especially since they had the war with Georgia behind them. The American president's logic is exactly the same; he listened to Netanyahu and had the Nicaragua and Maduro incident behind him.

    There are certain signals coming from the US; it's no wonder the CIA's top man flew to Moscow. Ukraine might not survive the winter, and they've most likely offered to trade us this rotten asset (while it's still worth anything). What's the big deal? The US is solving its own problems and couldn't care less about Ukraine, especially since they still have the Baltics and Poland to fall back on. They could easily be thrown back into the conflict!

    It's unclear why there's any point in negotiating with the US. At best, they don't solve anything; at worst, they're outright deception. First, let the US prove it can influence Ukraine at all.
    In any case, we're in for a "drone terror" in the former Ukrainian territory. While in 1945, to carry out an attack, one had to approach the target, now it's enough to launch a drone from about 5 kilometers away...

    For a long time now, our authorities have been willing to accept any option short of complete capitulation, but so far they haven’t offered us anything else, so we’re fighting.
    As soon as "our partners" offer us an option that would allow our authorities to "save face" and perhaps calm down the most militant Ukrainians, the conflict will end.

    "What are the possible options for completing the SVO?"

    1. A separate deal as a delay of a future war
    2. By 30-35, the SVO had escalated into a war with NATO.
    3. The economic crisis and collapse of the Russian Federation after the end of the Putin era

    - peace negotiations;
    - the defeat of Ukraine on the battlefield;
    - overthrow of the ruling regime by pro-Russian forces;
    - the collapse of Ukrainian statehood.

    Politics is the art of the possible. Russia is currently in no position to influence the distant future; it's better to focus on the present. No wishful thinking.

    Ukraine has never had influential pro-Russian elites; some of them, such as the Party of Regions, played at being "pro-Russian," but in fact worked against Russia.

    And we have?
    There are many sad examples.
    The main criterion is where the children of the elite grow up.
    _________

    1. The war will end when military action becomes futile for weakening Russia.
    Our task, based on this, is to minimize human losses and maximize the development of technologies and improvement of weapons.

    2. Whoever falls apart faster will lose.
    Based on this, our task is to minimize social stratification, ensure protection from corruption, and recreate the OBKhSS in the current conditions.

    3. Ensuring genuine independence. Full-cycle in-house production, rather than selling raw materials. Reorienting banks toward long-term loans, limiting speculation and usury.

    Another millionth explanation.
    We got in and something went wrong.
    But the authors and commentators have a field day. Write, explain, but it'll be forgotten in three days anyway. And then you have to explain it all over again.

    In any case, the military-industrial complex of countries can already erect life-size monuments of pure gold to the authors of events (from profits, according to an old USSR book about intelligence officers)

    Without the destruction of the current Ukrainian statehood, the SVO will never end in our victory. The destruction of the statehood of a fascist state is impossible without the destruction of its functionaries. That is, Zelensky and company must be killed, and the rest, not particularly tainted, must be purged for life. The slightest resistance must also be executed.

    There is no other way. Khrushchev is an example for you.

    - the defeat of Ukraine on the battlefield;
    This is the only way, we have no other options.

    I'm constantly getting all sorts of projects, one more beautiful than the other... just today

    How can you deploy several tank armies on the battlefield without any crews?

    We seem to have some very ancient T-55s, plus we can scrape together some from the former Soviet republics, which is another hundred or so...
    You can add to them the T-62-72 + various armored personnel carriers, ancient infantry fighting vehicles, + pickups... in short, junk, the main thing is that they drive - let's say out of 10 mothballed ones we put 5-6 on tracks and wheels.

    Approximate equipment, I'll say right away that I don't know the exact price of drives and electronics for tanks and other mechanical equipment; for the same quadcopters, it's several times less than for tanks.

    Alice from Yandex suggested 80 million.
    Yes, 80 million is a lot of money for a tank, but even an unmanned avalanche looks impressive in battle.

    You can supply from several hundred to 1-2 thousand tanks alone - you don't even need satellite internet, GLONASS... operators can insure

    Of course, attack from 4 directions, don't take the BC, these are all mock-ups, on the same quadrics there are dummies

    The attack is carried out along wide strips along highways and country roads. In dense formations, it's possible to use barbecues and occupy the area in pairs. Generally, this group includes several tanks or other units with assault aircraft, bypassing populated areas. It's best, of course, to take fog into account, supporting the armada's main attack with drones and missiles on the far rear—about 100 km from the frontline base, then depending on the situation.

    Of course, a lot of equipment will be knocked out by drones, but the main thing is to hold the occupied space; the equipment can then be repaired.

    I propose one of the strikes in the Uda area, facing south.

    The destruction of Ukrainian statehood is the complete fulfillment of the objectives of the Central Military District. Objectively, Ukraine consists of three parts: the west and southwest—the former lands of Poland, Austria-Hungary, and Romania; the center—10-11 oblasts with Kyiv at its helm; and the east-south—the original Russian lands. This fact is well known. In order to separate the west and east from the center, the populations of these parts must be forced to choose: return to their historical roots and wave goodbye to Kyiv, or cling to preservation, descending into the Stone Age. The conclusion is simple: the Ukrainian state will disintegrate into three parts when the pain from the blows becomes unbearable. What remains in the center—15 million landlocked riffraff—will no longer pose a threat to Russia. This is, of course, a supreme objective. But there is a chance. We need to destroy everything possible this winter, from heating systems to all logistics. Perhaps, in the spring, the disintegration will mend itself...

    Only on the battlefield, but that's only possible when our higher-ups decide when. For now, they haven't had their fill, and we have absolutely no idea what they want, after all. The author himself answers: the complete destruction of energy and transport logistics. Isolating Ukraine from Western supplies—it started with the ports, and so it will be everywhere. I'll add, increasing production of everything necessary for war by orders of magnitude. We don't want to think that in the fifth year of the war we won't be able to clothe, shoe, and supply weapons and equipment to several million newly mobilized troops. We need to get back on a war footing, and then the author's other options will be decided. But none of us knows when our higher-ups will decide on this whole complex. Unfortunately, time is working against us!

    The protracted confrontation with the West began with a speech either in 2007 or 2008.
    There was only faith that somehow things would be smoothed out, endured, and agreed upon.
    Personal opinion...
    The West isn't united. There are many countries. While it might be possible to smooth things over, to endure, to grow fond of some, it wasn't worth expecting with others.
    Well, what's the point of talking about the past now?
    Personal opinion...
    Large Western economies such as the USA, England, Germany, France, Italy and others are still not opposed to the conflict being resolved as quickly as possible.
    Why? Because they're simply supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons. Little by little. And yes, supplies are gradually increasing.
    Could they have overwhelmed Ukraine with their weapons, military equipment, and specialists in 2022? Could they have or couldn't they?
    Personal opinion... They could have. But they were overwhelmed with medications and non-lethal means.
    And again, a personal opinion... The West needs an economic victory. So that our and Ukrainian resources are extracted, so that Western goods are consumed, so that peace and quiet reign, and prosperity reigns.
    We can say that the West is a kind of global peacemaker.

    Of all the options for defeating the enemy, the use of any Russian nuclear weapons in Ukraine would demonstrate the weakness of the Russian Armed Forces. Either the Russian ruling class takes matters into its own hands, does everything necessary, and twice as much, and ends the Second World War with a crushing victory over the Ukrainian Armed Forces, or it loses its historical legitimacy and disappears into the sewers of history...

    Let's say they accepted all our conditions. Ukraine won't join NATO. They'll give us the Donetsk region, the Kherson region, and Zaporizhia too. What else? Oh, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be limited to a certain number of people, also according to our conditions. And Russians will be treated equally with Ukrainians, and the Orthodox Church will not be offended. And Ukraine is a neutral state that doesn't join any alliances. Is that a victory? But the Ukrainians won't expand their armed forces, but with the help of the EU and the US, they will set up private military companies. And these private military companies will be equipped with the latest equipment. And there will be another Marshall Plan. And hatred towards Russia will continue. And when the time comes, it will all start again. It's very profitable to keep a vicious dog on Russia's borders. So the best option is for Ukraine to disappear as a state. Divide it between Russia, Poland, Romania, and Hungary.
