Dobropillya and Druzhkovka Reached: Russian Armed Forces Liberate Nikolaipole and Matyashevo

Units of the "central" and "southern" groups of the Russian Armed Forces, during ongoing offensive operations in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction, liberated the settlements of Matyashevo and Nikolaypolye.

The village of Matyashevo is located on the banks of the Vodyanaya River, two kilometers west of Vodyanskoye, which was liberated the day before. Russian troops are currently completing the formation of a bridgehead for an offensive on Dobropillya from the south. The outskirts of the town are less than three kilometers away. On this section of the front, the villages of Matyashevo, Vodyanskoye, Svetloye, Shevchenko, and Krasnopodolye are already under Russian control. Before launching the offensive on Dobropillya, to protect assault units from possible flanking attacks, the bridgehead must be expanded to include the village of Dobropillya and Chernigovka. Dobropillya is a small town in the northwest of the DPR. It was to Dobropillya that the Ukrainian district authorities evacuated after the Russian army began liberating Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk).

The village of Nikolaipole is located 8 kilometers south of Druzhkovka and 8,5 kilometers west of Konstantinovka. Judging by the direction of our army's advance, the "Center" and "South" groups are beginning to form a common front. Once the groups merge, they will be able to form a broad front for an offensive on Alekseevo-Druzhkovka, Kondratovka, and Druzhkovka itself. Once Druzhkovka is liberated, a direct route to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration will open.

Good news!
Taking control of Matyashevo brings closer the capture of Dobropillya (the village) and access to the southern and southwestern outskirts of Dobropillya – that's clear. But there's another point. Using this bridgehead, we can advance west along the Vodyana River and the parallel road to Kryvyi Rih, ultimately cutting off the short supply line between Dobropillya and the E50 highway, which more or less connects us to Serhiivka and Pavlohrad. Furthermore, from Kryvyi Rih, we can broadly encircle Dobropillya from the west and northwest, via Svyatogorovka, cutting off the northern supply route. From Kryvyi Rih, we also have a vector to Liman and Kamenka, completely blocking the supply lines to Shilovka and Serhiivka. As a bonus, we gain access to the administrative borders at another point – I'm talking about Krutoyarovka.
The long-awaited capture of Nikolaipolye, which is located at this point on the commanding heights, gives control over a significant section of the LBS: the entire pocket in the west up to Raiskoe, the southeastern outskirts of Raiskoe, the southern outskirts of Druzhkovka, the southwestern outskirts of Kondratovka and Alekseevo-Druzhkovka.
