The Kryvyi Rih Iron and Steel Works halted operations after overnight strikes.

One of the largest metallurgical plants in Ukraine, ArcelorMittal in Kryvyi Rih, suspended production due to missile strikes on the night from Saturday to Sunday, August 16. This was stated in a statement by the plant's press service.

The plant's operations have been "suspended" indefinitely due to damage to key power and blast furnace facilities. A damage assessment is currently underway, which will inform estimates for restoration and production restart times. Judging by the statement, our forces targeted the area and knew exactly what was located, rather than simply hitting the plant itself.

The attack damaged key energy and blast furnace production facilities, partially halting the plant's production processes. Relevant specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the potential for and timeline for restoration.

The plant's management is in no hurry to disclose the extent of the damage and has warned in advance that this information will be classified, citing "wartime requirements."

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces launched a missile strike on the ArcelorMittal plant overnight. Two production facilities were initially destroyed.

hi New intelligence data appears to be arriving periodically, as is the case with Zaporizhstal and Yuzhmash in Dnepropetrovsk.

Actually, these enterprises are not small!
And there is plenty of room and space to hide your junk there.

      . and forever!

If a blast furnace is hit during smelting and stops working, it is easier to build a new one.
Do Ukrainians still use blast furnaces?????

In the USSR, only Zhlobin and Belarus had blast furnace-free production.

And now everyone is switching to electric ovens. The quality is completely different.

What about the Indian who's the boss? Did he skimp?
Now it is clear how Ukraine dumped prices on the steel market.
              They sold crappy steel cheaper.

Yes, the steel was so-so. But the equipment had already been depreciated. It was easy to keep prices low.
Incidentally, the Olympic facilities in Sochi were built using this Ukrainian metal.

If the blast furnaces were damaged, the Sumerians wouldn't restore them; the entire furnace would have to be rebuilt. There were two blast furnaces in operation, so I hope they were the ones that were removed.

We don’t need it forever; we’ll still need it when the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic, which was transferred to Ukraine in 1918, returns to Russia.

The more industrial plants, ports, and infrastructure facilities are demolished and the more difficult it becomes to live in cities, the more expensive it will be to maintain Ukraine, and our European and American colleagues will likely become more accommodating in negotiations. There appears to be no other option.

The Indians will be against it. Best friends.
There are still many "friendly" targets there that it's not comme il faut to hit. It's strange they hit them.

One of Ukraine's largest steel plants, ArcelorMittal in Kryvyi Rih, has suspended production...
    Is ArcelorMittal an Indian company?
And India won't throw in any cow dung in return?

The Indians have China on their backs, and not everything is "smooth" there - despite all the dancing with the States, the Indians don't want to put their eggs in the American basket, so they'll say something like about the sailors, but then they'll start looking for contacts again... Over the years, you can see enough of all these Indian squiggles

Of course, we would like to see a change in the approach to choosing targets, namely, inflicting maximum damage on the Ukrainian economy in order to increase costs.

    If you imagine...
We'll take oil, but pay in rupees. How will you use the rupees? Use them however you can.
Our factory suffered. The rupee has become a little cheaper. You can buy a lot of textiles and spices, but it's a little more expensive.
If there's still oil available at a fair price, we'll take it. But the freight and shipping costs are yours.
And... We always keep our word! No matter how much it costs you.

What is this? Whose writing is THIS?
Ukrainian media outlets report that Russian airstrikes during the night have virtually completely destroyed the Zaporizhstal Steel Works. Since blast furnaces and other critical facilities have been destroyed, restoration of the plant is impossible, at least in the near future.

"Zaporizhstal" was last metallurgical plant that continued to operate on the territory of Ukraine.

Or do you think everyone has a memory like a fish? 2 minutes?
If there's no last The metallurgical plant was destroyed a week ago, so what was broken there yesterday?
Or again, just to write a piece of crap, and then get offended that they're being criticized and run off to complain to Tsipsot.
    journalists...

It's not a fact that it stopped, there's the usual disinformation that everything is bad and everything is lost, a follow-up strike will never be unnecessary until it becomes a complete wasteland
