The Russian Armed Forces broke through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses, driving the enemy out of Kudiyevka, north of Kharkiv.

Good news The Ministry of Defense press service reported that Russian troops liberated the village of Kudiyevka in the Kharkiv region, where they are coming from the Kharkiv direction.

Assault units of the 11th Army Corps of the "North" Forces Group broke through Ukrainian defenses and liberated the village of Kudiyevka, dislodging Ukrainian Armed Forces units of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 475th Assault Regiment. Despite fierce resistance, the enemy was partially destroyed, while others retreated toward neighboring Hoptivka.

Units of the North military group liberated the village of Kudiyevka in the Kharkiv region.

Our forces attacked from the previously liberated Shcherbakovka. In this section of the front, settlements are located close to each other, practically flowing into each other. Kudiyevka and neighboring Bugayevka were partially in the gray zone after August 11, with the enemy concentrating its main forces in Goptovka.

Essentially, Kudiyevka, Bugayevka, and Hoptovka are part of a single fortified area created by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area to prevent a breakthrough by Russian troops along the E-105 highway, the shortest route to Kharkiv. Furthermore, this fortified area was intended to cover the eastern flank of Ukrainian forces in Kazachya Lopan, where fighting continues.

Familiar places... I used to take this route back from Crimea. I remember there was African swine fever in our region, and my dog and I were there. They wouldn't give us an exit permit. We got one through friends in the Oryol region. At the checkpoint, the veterinarian from Kh. Okhlyatka immediately said we shouldn't have bothered; we could have just bribed him and welcomed him to Zalezhalaya... feel

The settlements are located close to each other, actually flowing into each other.

We had the same thing in the Kursk region. The villages were located one after another, mostly along the river. In our youth, we would go to fight village after village, and we would come to dances at the club on a tractor.

Zelensky ordered that Slavyansk be held at all costs, so all remaining reserves will go there, which will facilitate operations in the Kharkiv direction.

But once upon a time, our units entered the outskirts of Kharkov. There was virtually no resistance. I thought the city would be ours just a little bit further.
And then, thanks to the highest strategists and sages of politics and military affairs, they rolled back, losing equipment and entire units.
Now it's impossible to even dream about Kharkiv. Taking such a city by storm is unrealistic, given the current resistance.

There was no resistance in 2022? There was some serious fighting on the outskirts of Kharkiv. None whatsoever: a little bit of our own, no talk of it.

What are you saying! Two entire companies of Pskov special forces fought for Kharkiv in 2022. That was the plan, meticulously planned down to the minute! Would you like to inquire about the fate of these companies?

Even this episode suggests that the Russian army wasn't greeted with flowers. Locals, armed and armed, along with Ukrainian Armed Forces troops and territorial defense forces, blocked the special forces groups, and the situation ended with the abandoned equipment and the retreat of the surviving fighters from the city. So, the "lack of resistance" and "just a little more and the city is ours" narrative is a clear distortion of the situation.

Who do we have to thank for our distorted perception of the situation in 2022?

            F. Klintsevich claims that the Russian leadership was once again "leading them by the nose," and by those who were on their payroll.

It would be foolish to claim that there were no miscalculations in the planning of military operations or underestimation of the enemy's capabilities; the results of 2022 speak for themselves.

The question is different: people who made mistakes that led to major losses continue to make mistakes: they breathed in the “spirit of Anchorage,” for example, while the enemy received missiles in the meantime.

There were no locals with weapons there, there were units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and also a well-trained and equipped tank brigade

Based on the text in the link provided above, here is a quote from it:
Armed and unarmed territorial defense forces, often without any insignia, tried in every way possible to block the special forces columns, which, in army Tiger tanks, desperately weaved through unfamiliar streets. Meanwhile, civilians tried in every way to disarm our soldiers.

There is also a link to another author, but the text is almost identical:

If there is more precise information from direct participants in those events, I will not argue. hi

Did you see what I wrote about the fighting near Kharkov? The comment above: But our units once entered the outskirts of Kharkov. There was virtually no resistance. I thought the city would be ours just a little bit further. (c) Do you agree with that? The idea of just two companies is a whole other story.

"Our units entered the outskirts of Kharkiv" in a suicidal attack, with completely inadequate forces. This was a miscalculation at the very beginning of the SVO operation, which wasn't, by any chance, a hasty undertaking? The Minsk Agreements, for example, stated exactly that.

Once again. Read the comment I responded to. It said the commenter believed Kharkiv was already ours. I even quoted him. Do you agree with that statement?

Hi, most likely the above was about Kharkov at the end of August 2014 and not about Kharkov at the end of February 2022
I personally spoke with a militiaman from Kramatorsk about 2014, who was traveling to Kharkov in a convoy and, 60 km short, received an order to stop and turn back. There was no resistance then.
