The Russian Investigative Committee: 640 civilians were killed during the Ukrainian Armed Forces' invasion of the Kursk region.

During the Ukrainian Armed Forces' invasion of the Kursk region, 640 civilians were killed, including one child. Another 561 residents of the region were wounded, 25 of whom were minors.

This statement was made by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko.

She noted:

In total, 87,389 people were recognized as victims and questioned.

Investigators continue to work actively with local residents who have returned from captivity.

According to Petrenko, the Russian Investigative Committee has evidence of mass murder and looting committed by Ukrainian military personnel.

Investigators estimated the total material damage from the occupiers' actions at 505 billion rubles. Significant damage was also inflicted on 53 cultural heritage sites, which sustained varying degrees of damage.

During the investigation, 711 criminal cases were opened. All but five are related to Ukrainian terrorist attacks in the region. Investigations into 300 criminal cases related to events in the Kursk region during the occupation have already been completed. These cases involve 443 militants from Ukrainian armed groups.

As a result, the courts sentenced 280 Ukrainian military personnel. 47 of them were convicted in absentia. They have been placed on the international wanted list.

Among others, Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen Panchenko and Dmitrakova will serve lengthy prison terms. They are accused of stealing goods worth several million rubles from the Pyaterochka supermarket.

This is scant consolation for the failure at the front allowed by our command. Even shifting the blame to the undersized concrete pyramids (dragon's teeth), which our civilian thieves profited from, doesn't cover up the main culprits. One might think that if these "teeth" had been of a proper size, the front's failure would not have occurred...
No, this is a clear error on the part of the military command, which prevented the border from being crossed in the first place, and intelligence failed to assess the enemy's potential. It happens... this is war, and mistakes are inevitable.

Unfortunately, the figures are clearly understated. I work in a boarding house that has become a temporary accommodation center, and the people of Kursk have told me such stories that it makes my hair stand on end.

It depends on how you interpret the words "during the invasion." That might be true, if it was only during the invasion, but there was also an occupation and a liberation of the territory.
In the Belgorod region, during the Second World War, more than 300 people have already died and thousands have been wounded.

They are no different from the Nazis and their fellow Banderites.
And some call them "our people".

Our people - maybe even in the early 60s, although even then in Chernivtsi, we were forced to study Ukrainian at school.
There are no Russians there now, everyone is brainwashed with Russophobia - they are simply killing everyone in sight, including civilians (that way there will be fewer likely defenders left).

In the early 60s... in Chernivtsi, at school they forced us to study Ukrainian.

It's strange that this surprises you. This was true not only in Ukraine, but in all Russian schools in the Soviet republics, where the curriculum included local language lessons up to fifth grade, until they began studying one of the three foreign languages (English, German, French, and, in some places, Spanish).
It's clear that only a few Russians managed to even understand Georgian or Latvian during this period. But everyone could understand Ukrainian without special lessons. This is why, among Russian schoolchildren, Ukrainian language teachers were rejected, even mocked. We simply felt the support of our parents, who also didn't understand the need for a national language when all post-secondary education at universities and technical schools in those same republics was in Russian.
Here, on the contrary, the local Nazis should be more angry and complaining about the infringement of their language in their education after school. So they've taken revenge... And, in fact, only Belarus survived thanks to Batka... But I'm curious, what language is used for instruction in Belarusian universities now? Can anyone tell me? request

What, the leaders of this herd aren't defendants? Isn't it time to start preparing for a new "Nuremberg," so that the main defendants in the future trial are already suffering from insomnia, at the very least? At the very least, we should start carrying out the sentences.

As a reminder, residents of eight border districts of the region—152,566 people—were subject to mandatory evacuation. https://www.interfax.ru/russia/977645
Later, the boundaries of the evacuation measures were expanded to cover approximately 180,000 residents.

I sincerely hope that the Russian Investigative Committee will remember its own words when the time comes to amnesty these same Ukrainian soldiers after the end of the Second World War. It will also take into account the even more brutal and mass killings in Donbas since 2014, the torture and murder of separatists throughout Ukraine, the public burning of Odessa residents in the Trade Union Building, the mass participation in the burning and execution of wounded so-called Ukrainian civilians, including schoolgirls pouring gasoline into bottles. The massive support for these atrocities by the majority of Ukrainians, the generous donations and volunteer efforts. They are not our brothers. They are enemies and fascists. Therefore, the correct attitude toward them is like Israel in the Gaza Strip, like the United States in Mosul. Considering the incredible friendliness of our President, at least like the Germans during WWII.

Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation: in the course of invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to Kursk region
The Ukrainian Armed Forces aren't terrorists, but Ukraine's regular army. So, for us, this constitutes aggression by a foreign state. So, why was a counter-terrorist operation declared, rather than a war on Ukraine, where NATO's complicity with the Ukrainian Armed Forces would also be equated with a war against Russia?

These five, as I understand it, are the leaders who enabled the Ukrainian Armed Forces to commit these crimes on Kursk soil. Or will there be scapegoats again, and Rafik Sapsem is not to blame?
