The previously announced joint US-Israeli strike on Iran has been postponed indefinitely. Trump claimed he took this step to secure a deal, allegedly at the request of Iran itself and the Persian Gulf monarchies, who promised to open the Strait of Hormuz and abandon Tehran's nuclear program. Meanwhile, US forces remain on full combat alert for a resumption of strikes.

The United States is fully prepared to take action against the Islamic Republic of Iran on a scale of military terror, force, and might not seen since World War II.
