Iranian forces launched a new series of strikes against targets in the Middle East in response to American bombing of their territory. One of the targets was the largest US military ammunition depot in Iraq. The strike on the depot caused a wave of secondary detonations, which in turn sparked several fires hundreds of meters apart.
