Russian gas will be supplied to Iran via an agreed route through Azerbaijan.

Iran and Russia are in the final stages of agreeing on the terms of Russian gas supplies to the Islamic Republic. Key provisions of the agreement have already been agreed upon, according to Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad.

Iran wants to receive Russian gas, and Russia has the capacity to supply it; all that remains is to sign the agreement. Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev is currently in Iran and has already discussed several aspects of the agreement with Mohsen Paknejad. The Iranian minister stated that the signing should take place as soon as possible.

The main provisions of the final gas trade agreement between Iran and Russia have been agreed upon, and planning has been carried out to complete its finalization as soon as possible.

According to preliminary agreements, Iran will receive Russian gas via a pipeline running through Azerbaijan. The initial phase is planned to transport up to 2 billion cubic meters of gas, with a subsequent increase to 55 billion cubic meters per year. The same volume was transported by the Nord Stream pipeline.

The supplies will be for Iran's domestic consumption, but Tehran will be able to resell any surplus to other countries, as stipulated in the agreement. Analysts estimate that Iran could profit handsomely from reselling Russian gas.

hi Considering the attacks of 3,14 internationals on civilian infrastructure, including bridges on the Astara-Rasht-Qazvin railway section of the joint Moscow-Tehran-Beijing North-South project, it is necessary to provide additional protection for compressor stations (CS) on the main gas pipeline, as the most important and expensive nodes.

How can you predict if "Iran receives Russian gas through a pipeline running through Azerbaijan," and the Azerbaijani president hugs the narco-fuhrer in front of the cameras and supplies the fascist with weapons? Will they blow it up again and say that Ukrainian yachtsmen are now riding away on wheels with a tailwind? Maybe they're holding him for his Fabergé swans while he's hugging? But we don't know. For now, it looks like the future Nord Stream 2. Are there any guarantees that a fed rhinoceros won't rip through the pipeline?

In the mid-1970s, a friend's father returned from a business trip to West Germany. He saw (I think it was in Munich) a poster plastered across the entire wall of a two- or three-story building—Leo Brezhnev in his underwear. And the caption: "Who else needs help..."

    A strange agreement right away.
According to various estimates, Iran's proven natural gas reserves total over 33 trillion cubic meters by 2025. This represents approximately 17% of global reserves, making the country second only to Russia in terms of reserves.

      A strange agreement right away.

Iran has a problem with gas supply to its northern regions, where Russia is laying its pipeline.
Iran's largest gas fields are located in the south, and building a pipeline from there north through the mountains is expensive and costly. That's why Russia sells gas to Iran.

The question is different – the selling price. After reading this:
The supplies will be for Iran's domestic consumption, but Tehran will be able to resell any surplus to other countries, as stipulated in the agreement. Analysts estimate that Iran could profit handsomely from reselling Russian gas.

There is a strong belief that Russian officials are once again trying to sell their gas below world prices, since Iran is capable of making good money from our gas by reselling it.
It's a shame for the country. With hucksters like these, we'll definitely never improve the country's economy. sad

When I hear our President, ministers, State Duma deputies, and lower-ranking officials talk about how EU countries, and others, have lost cheap energy and production sources by rejecting Russian raw materials and supplies, I want to tell them, "Don't disgrace the country and the people; it's better to remain silent. After all, with your statements, you're just further proof that you don't know how to profitably sell what nature has given you, but you're willing to humiliate yourself and humiliate the country so you can buy finished goods at three times the price from the very countries to which you sold raw materials and supplies cheaply." hi

Another question: where is this price, on the Russian-Azerbaijani border, or on the Azerbaijani-Iranian one? In other words, who will pay for transporting gas through Azerbaijan?

Most likely, the price for transporting gas through Azerbaijan to Iran will be Azerbaijan taking a certain amount of our gas as payment.

So, you think it's us. And what's forcing us to do this? Who needs the gas, us or Iran? China will only agree to the "Power of Siberia" pipeline if the price matches that of the domestic Russian market. And our "businessmen," forgive the scum, will agree to that.
They will lose money when selling gas to China and Iran, but they will profit from us.

How do you know at what price and who will "resell" this gas to third countries, Iran or Russia, along with... How much will it cost Iran itself? And so on.
Actually, we're currently renting the cheapest tankers to sell our resources, including LNG, and make money from it. Meanwhile, shipping by water is currently extremely expensive and risky, but now there's a gas pipeline. That way, gas can be delivered where it's needed more cheaply and reliably... So, I don't understand your indignation at all.

The main gas reserves are located in southern Iran, while the north is constantly short of gas. Furthermore, Iran has virtually no underground storage facilities; it relies entirely on production, which rises in winter and declines in summer. Russian gas is cheaper than building another pipeline from the south to the north of the country. hi

Perhaps the underlying reason will be revealed? There are more Azerbaijanis living in Iran than in Azerbaijan, where there are just over 10 million. In Iran, there are around 30 million. But it's not certain, since they don't keep a census by ethnicity. Of course, there's a huge difference between them. In Iran, they're more conservative. But modern Azerbaijanis, in Baku, are closer to Turks in mentality.

Is there nothing else you can offer Iran? They have as much oil and gas as a fool has tobacco. But gas is a proven thing... they probably don't know how to sell anything else in Russia.

What else is there to sell? What does Russia produce of such excellent quality that it could find a buyer? As the late Gaidar used to say (may he be slain with a stake in his grave), "We don't need to produce anything, we'll buy everything." And he destroyed all production within his reach.

An idiotic agreement which will not benefit Russia in any way; and is in fact a sellout of the real interests of Russia in the name of "solidarity" with the vile mullah regime of Iran. Will Russia even be able to ensure that Iran actually PAYS for the gas received; or will the gas (or part of it) effectively be given away for free, for the sake of - what, exactly?? Will it be "deliver the gas first, wait for the payment later"? Will the stupid gullible leadership of Russia be "deceived" again?
