Greenlanders fear US troops will force them out of their homes.

Greenlanders are expressing serious concern over US plans to increase their military presence on the island. According to the Danish publication Politiken, local residents fear that the US military could "throw them out of their homes" if the base in Narsarsuaq, a village in southern Greenland, reopens.

One of the Greenlanders shared his emotions:

I have a surge of negative emotions because of the thought that I might have to leave my home.

Narsarsuaq was already used by the Americans during the Cold War. Now, residents fear that the interests of the local population will once again take a backseat to military needs.

Washington's plans include expanding military infrastructure and possibly opening several new facilities, including reopening the Narsarsuaq base with its deep-water port.

Tensions have increased following recent statements at the NATO summit in Ankara. US President Donald Trump reiterated that Greenland "should be controlled by the United States, not Denmark," emphasizing the island's strategic importance to US security and countering Russian and Chinese influence.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen responded to the statement that Greenland is not for sale.

The situation is causing concern among island residents, who fear that geopolitical ambitions could directly impact their daily lives and traditional territories. Negotiations between the US and Denmark are ongoing amid the growing strategic importance of the Arctic.

laughing In fact, if there's a FSA base there again, the natives better get out of there themselves, without any expulsion. Because if anything happens (God forbid, of course), they'll fly there (I hope). So, "-On a little raft... I'll float away quietly..."
P.S. I'm not bloodthirsty and don't wish harm on the Greenlanders; they're hostages of the situation. But that's the objective reality. request

We will all sail away. Far away along the Styx. After all, we only have one planet for all of us.

      - and counteracting the influence of Russia and China.
Interesting - to counteract through annexation.

Well, what did you (Greenlanders) expect? Your white masters need somewhere to live and while away the long winter evenings, not in tents and igloos. They might as well bring back the right of the first night so it won't be so boring. laughing And if we're not being sarcastic, this is a far-fetched story. This is Trump, and he's got seven Fridays in a week.

To be honest, it doesn't matter, let the head of Denmark worry about it, she's the one who's concerned about the Russian threat

Well, these are the costs... Well, of course, someone will be killed, someone will be raped, but we just have to endure it for the sake of Atlantic Solidarity!
This is no time to relax, the Civilized World is in danger here, and they are here with their bourgeois "canaries"!
They lived for many centuries in a needle (on a needle?) - and will live for a while longer, don't be rude.
The leaders will receive iPhones, the rest second-hand jeans and sneakers!

It’s unlikely that they’ll be kicked out, but to shit all over it is sacred for mattresses.

The US military could "throw them out of their homes"

In that case, you can bury yourself in a snowdrift. That's their problem, not interesting at all.

If the US annexes Greenland, will the EU issue sanctions packages against them?

What bothers me most about this whole story is the lack of peace between the US and Denmark. When will the war start?

And who do the local inhabitants, the Eskimos, think they are? How are they any better than the Sioux, Dakota, Mohicans, and all the Apaches, whose villages were burned and forced to move to the Far West—only those who survived (2-3 percent, of course).

What kind of nonsense is this? Who will maintain these bases, who will clean them, who will scrub the pots? It's up to the American military if they kick out the locals.
