Peskov: The special operation in Ukraine has turned into a real war

Russia's special military operation launched in Ukraine has escalated into a full-blown war due to Western intervention, Dmitry Peskov stated.

Commenting on events in Ukraine, a Kremlin spokesman stated that the special operation has now escalated into a full-blown war due to Western countries being drawn into the conflict. According to Peskov, as he told Vesti correspondent Pavel Zarubin, Kyiv is receiving assistance not only from leading European countries but also from the United States, despite Trump's claims.

There's a war going on, a real war. Do you know why it's a war? Because it all started as a special military operation. It continues as a war because Kyiv is backed by Berlin, Paris, The Hague, Oslo, and, unfortunately, Washington. Because they're being helped to target us through their satellites, and they're being helped to direct foreign weapons at our targets through their entire infrastructure.

Moscow is aware that the Kiev regime is capable of anything in the current situation, hiding behind a supposed permissiveness that relies on its Western allies.

Previously, many Russian politicians and experts stated that it was time to acknowledge that the Central Military District had escalated into a full-fledged war waged against Russia by the collective West through the Bandera regime.

I heard a story that Stalin forced the Finnish war so that his respected partners wouldn't have time to deliver everything they needed.

What partners are you talking about? The events of 87 years ago can't be viewed through today's eyes. France and Britain formally entered the war with Germany on September 3, 1939, and de facto on May 10, 1940. The Wehrmacht's defeat of Poland in two weeks was a complete surprise to everyone, including Stalin. Poland had one of the best armies in Europe at the time, and most believed the war would last at least six months.
That's why, after this, the USSR began accelerated preparations for war with Germany: the transition from a formally contract-based army to a conscript army. In less than two years, the Red Army's strength increased from 100,000 to 5 million.
The Finnish War, the purpose of which was to "push back" the border from Leningrad (the largest industrial center at the time), was one of the consequences of the decisions taken by the USSR leadership to prepare for war.

About today's. They behave pretty much the same way they did back then, although our higher-ups didn't like them back then, unlike today.

What does this have to do with the Finnish campaign, where they first stepped on a rake, then spent a month thinking and training, and then broke through the Finnish defenses and forced them to capitulate? Maybe you could also tell me about the First World War, which had something to do with it. laughing

Alexoff, have you ever wondered why there was a pause (September 3, 1939 – May 10, 1940) between France and Britain? And did they care about Finland during that time?
When they declared war on Germany, they expected to fight on two fronts, as they had in WWI. They assumed Poland would hold out completely undisturbed for six months, during which time they would mobilize, launch their military-industrial complex at full capacity, and so on. But Hitler crushed Poland in just two weeks, and it was a shock to everyone. France and Britain (at the time the best armies in Europe) instantly realized that the Wehrmacht was in a completely different league and that they would be next (the USSR and Germany formally had a non-aggression pact in place).
The Wehrmacht's two-week defeat of Poland was entirely related to the Finnish War (read above more carefully). The Soviet leadership realized that, despite the treaty, Germany would attack sooner or later. Since Germany was establishing contacts with Finland, it was clear that Finland would be Germany's ally in this war. Is that clear now? Leningrad is a border city, a major industrial center (including the military-industrial complex); its loss could have catastrophic consequences for the country.

And don't forget that the Red Army had no experience with large-scale combat in modern warfare, so the Finnish campaign didn't start off smoothly. Nevertheless, within six months, the issue was resolved: the border was pushed back, Leningrad was secured.
These are lessons worth learning for the country's current leaders, aren't they?

You've written, excuse me, some nonsense, mixing together completely incompatible things. Poland didn't have "one of the best armies in Europe," if only because its weapons were comparable to those of World War I, but certainly not those of World War II. And this wasn't a surprise to Stalin, as the well-known pact confirms.
As for the expansion of the army, there's a very simple explanation. Universal military service, which was introduced precisely on September 1, 1939. But the decision was made earlier, before Germany's attack on Poland.

I read a different version on another website. After the capture of Konstantinovka, the redhead called Zelensky, and only then the Kremlin. Perhaps he was congratulated on Independence Day, but apparently that's not the point. If that's the case, then the conversation must have been interesting. And then there are such statements—after all, talking mustaches only declare what's been agreed upon in advance. And here Washington was called a direct participant. That means something. However, time will tell; there have been countless statements and theories over the past five years.

Do you want martial law and a general mobilization? It's enough to curb excessive humanism and destroy key electrical substations and gas transmission facilities within a week, while also increasing air traffic through the port. This will seriously disrupt supply logistics and significantly hamper the activities of Ukraine's military-industrial complex, while electric rail service will grind to a halt. Yes, living conditions for the population of 404 will significantly worsen, but we can't continue at this pace; we could end up supplying more powerful missiles to the Ukrainian Nazis, and they won't hesitate to use them.

According to the Federal Law "On Defense," a declaration of war does not mean general mobilization. Learn the ropes.

        1. A state of war is declared by federal law in the event of an armed attack on the Russian Federation by another state.

Major territorial changes since 1992:Border delimitation with China: The largest reduction in land area. During the border demarcation between 1992 and 2005, Russia transferred to China approximately 600 islands on the Amur and Ussuri rivers, as well as Bolshoy Ussuriysky and Tarabarov islands, and some land (a total area of approximately 337–340 km²).Agreement with Norway (2010): A 40-year-old territorial dispute over maritime delimitation in the Barents Sea was resolved. The disputed "gray zone" of 175 km² was divided between Russia and Norway into two roughly equal parts. Border with Lithuania: In 1997, when clarifying the borders in the area of Lake Vishtynetskoye, Russia transferred about 4 km² of coastal territory to Lithuania. The Samur River and villages in Azerbaijan (2010): Under the state border agreement with Azerbaijan, Russia ceded half of the Samur River's water intake, and also transferred the territory of two Dagestani enclaves - the villages of Uryan-Uba and Khrakh-Uba, whose residents were subsequently resettled to the territory of Dagestan. Thus, the total land area transferred to other countries as part of the clarification and demarcation of state borders after 1992 amounted to less than 350 km². In turn, during the maritime demarcation with Norway, Russia renounced claims to half of the disputed waters in exchange for securing the remaining part for its exclusive economic zone.

Nuland was aware that the whole of Ukraine is divided into two parts - eastern (pro-Russian) or western (pro-European).
And she, I think, was also aware that the whole of Eastern Ukraine was against the Maidan.
And she handed out cookies only for support, so that they could see how the US was behind them and so that they would go to the end.

If Putin had sent troops into eastern Ukraine under the pretext of stopping the civil war, at least the entire EU would have supported him, since they did not want a "Yugoslav scenario" on their borders and it was important for them to receive a constant supply of cheap raw materials from Russia.

And even when the US put pressure on the EU for the downed plane and forced the EU to adopt some sham sanctions, they already declared that they had reached the limit of sanctions and could not impose anything more.

If we talk in images, then in 2014 Putin had a deck of cards full of trumps, but he managed to successfully blow it all... He was deceived (or rather, screwed) like the last fool.

Then the West turned on its sanctions machine at full speed. Until then, Putin had been dutifully pumping energy resources and other raw materials there, diligently stashing the proceeds in a Belgian fund.

In 2014, Russia was pushed by all means into a war for which it was in no way prepared.

So, Girkin was prepared and fought quite successfully, until the wise Putin, from the Kremlin, ended that war and sent Girkin home. And Russia, according to you, allegedly wasn't prepared to fight a non-existent Ukrainian army, made up of various hardened scum called "volunteer battalions"...
Or perhaps the secret lies elsewhere entirely: Putin wanted to return Ukraine to its pre-Maidan state by installing his crony Medvedchuk? Is that why he ended the Novorossiya project to further his dream of bringing this so-called "brotherly nation" back into Russia's embrace?

It's time for some amazing stories. Suddenly, like a miracle, Ukraine in 2014 acquired a combat-ready and professional army, the likes of which it had never had before. And this very combat-ready Ukrainian army completely routed Girkin's Russian "vacationers"...

Or perhaps the reality was a little different? Putin completely cut off supplies and support to Girkin, removed all vacationers, and, as they say, completely abandoned the Novorossiya project in favor of his plan to install Medvedchuk on the Ukrainian throne?

If Russia were to fight the Ukrainian army now, the war would end in 2 or 4 months.

This is how we fight the Ukrainians. It's foolish to deny it or try to shift the blame, especially against the backdrop of Ukrainian cemeteries.
And it is even more stupid to try to blame your own mediocrity and idiotic mistakes on the machinations of the bastard West.
You might as well try to shift the blame from our thieving generals and incompetent command to NATO.
In the USSR, as I remember well, all of one’s own mistakes and shortcomings were blamed on anything but oneself.

Tell me, how did small Israel completely crush the Arab coalition armies of Egypt, Syria and Iraq?
I can give you dozens of examples from history when small but well-prepared forces defeated their numerous opponents.
And you know perfectly well that those on vacation are career soldiers in the Russian army. Among all these Ukrainian volunteer battalions, there were almost no "brothers" of the military at all; 90% of them were criminals and nationalists, taking up arms for the first time. And don't tell me any funny stories about this whole gang defeating the Russian military.

at the same time, they completely killed their competitiveness in the global market.

Another version of Russian television, judging by which Europe is in complete shambles without us. They'll either freeze without our gas, or something else catastrophic will happen to them without Mother Russia.

No, we are fighting with NATO, which uses Ukrainians as cheap cannon fodder.

If we are at war with NATO, then why haven’t diplomatic relations with NATO countries been severed yet?
Why does Lavrov constantly say that he is ready to supply energy to the very NATO parties that declared war on us?

So maybe they "haven't started yet," but are only helping 404, just like they once helped the Afghan mujahideen resist the USSR?
And it doesn't take a genius to predict in advance: the West will do everything possible and impossible to help 404. Putin successfully blew his greatest chance in 2014, and the West immediately realized that their finest hour had arrived.

                    That's why Putin didn't interfere in 2014.

In 2014, all events in Ukraine in Europe meant civil war.
There were no drones yet, but the entire eastern Ukraine was pro-Russian. For Europe, the most important thing was to avoid war along its borders, and Europe didn't want to deal with the conflict between eastern and western Ukraine on its own, so they would have welcomed the deployment of Russian peacekeepers. Had Putin launched his SVO in 2014, it would have been a real blitzkrieg all the way to Kyiv, where Russian troops would have been greeted with flowers. But Putin blew his trump cards, allowing the consciousness of the residents of eastern Ukraine to be completely reshaped in eight years, for whom Russia has become as much an enemy as it is for the residents of western Ukraine.

It's a statement of fact, but in essence, nothing will change. After all, strategy should ideally be consistent with war, not strategic military strategy. There can be no other strategy other than grinding, in principle, or we'll have to find a new leadership, but that's impossible. So we'll grind and grind until we've consumed all Western aid. Although we're not grinding satellites, for example, which means grinding isn't even working at full capacity, so to speak. Of course, we won't see any strategic offensive operation by any stretch of the imagination.

I completely agree that martial law must be declared at least in the southern regions of Russia. A new round of mobilization must also be carried out. Furthermore, serious criminal penalties must be introduced for draft dodgers. The current penalties (driving license revocation, travel ban) are clearly insufficient. And, of course, the powers of military commissars must be expanded. Furthermore, the most severe penalty for traitors and traitors must be introduced – the death penalty. Unfortunately, these are the norms of a wartime state.

The sarcasm of most people is understandable. But you must admit, a correct diagnosis is at least a starting point for treatment. Whether this treatment will be effective or not, unfortunately, depends not on the military, but on politicians. Until there's a real threat of a change of power in Russia, whether through elections or for some other reason, as happened in 1941, no one in the Kremlin will draw conclusions; the chairs there are too soft and the incomes of "their" oligarchs are too large. When planes start flying over the Kremlin and Rublyovka with the icon of Our Lady of Kazan, then perhaps something will change for the better in the minds of the country's political elite.

Actually, this news is for those who have forgotten.
That mustachioed face already spoke about this, somewhere in 24.

Once upon a time there lived a Tsar.
    The Tsar has a court,
There is a stake in the yard.
    On a stake - a bast.

Peskov: The special operation in Ukraine has turned into a real war.

But the one who said this was not in military uniform.
Even the President sometimes wears a military uniform, but I don’t remember ever hearing the megaphone speak in anything other than civilian clothes.

    Quote from Scientist
Russia's special military operation in Ukraine has turned into a full-fledged war due to Western intervention.

A full-scale war broke out because the supreme commander-in-chief botched a special military operation. Western intervention was inevitable, and they couldn't have been unaware of that.

    Personal opinion...
For several months after the start of the Second World War, our friends/enemies, or comrades/opponents, were waiting for some Slavs to rein in other Slavs, install their own governors, and the routine would remain...
Renegotiations on the division of spheres of interest, on the acceptability/unacceptability of property transfers, on new boundaries of economic interests.
At times like these, the backstage must work to ensure that at the next meeting, one of the mutually hating parties has more arguments.
But there was a pause. Then came the trick.
And restarting the VPC. And stopping a running VPC is harder than starting it.

Previously, many Russian politicians and experts stated that it was time to acknowledge that the Central Military District had escalated into a full-fledged war waged against Russia by the collective West through the Bandera regime.

By law, the State Duma should declare war. Nobody knows what the deputies think about this.
Why the State Duma did not consider the issue of using the Armed Forces abroad, which has happened, is a big question.

I heard a story about Stalin forcing the Finnish War to prevent his esteemed partners from delivering everything they needed. But we didn't force the issue in 2022 to avoid unnecessary losses. We gave everything enough time to deliver across intact bridges, and bam! No one expected it! fool

You're a true military genius. There's always more stupid whining from those who don't make any decisions.

"Dear" Donald seems to understand what this is all about. American soldiers are gradually leaving the Euro, but the Euro is steadfast... at the same time, we are taking out fuel, the entire energy system, there are already concrete signs of a war with the removal of buildings and the people living in them... the war will end abruptly around the new year under the current developments, if the West doesn't get involved, but if the striped ones step aside, then this is most likely an early preparation, Russia-Euro, who will win, and a nuclear exchange will have even more dire consequences for the Euro... the Ukrainians will certainly try to involve
If the West is not involved, we are on the verge of victory for a year and a half, then the fronts will cease to exist

Well then, fight as befits a great nuclear power and not like a run-down country!
With your “maneuvers,” and the shuttle and “voyages” of shady individuals, you have lowered Russia to the level of a “banana republic.”

It's not a given. It's possible that the Central Military District is being officially mobilized for war (and the population is being conditioned with such false information). In that case, mobilization could be announced after the elections.

There's a war going on, it's a real war. Do you know why there's a war? Because it all started as a special military operation.

]Berlin, Paris, The Hague, and Oslo stand behind Kiev, and, unfortunately, Washington. Because they are helped to aim through their satellites, they are helped to direct foreign weapons at our targets through their entire infrastructure.

So, why the hell, while Putin, through the Kremlin's talking head, admits and asserts that the US is our enemy, is simultaneously congratulating Trump and the US on Independence Day, calling him "dear," wishing him success, and so on?! What kind of theater of the absurd and illogical are we witnessing? Ruling elite, is there any sense or common sense in yourselves? How and who do you appear to the public?
    Shame ....

    Hello, everything is very simple.
Putin has two daughters living in the US. What did you expect from Vladimir Vladimirovich?
So he could call Trump a big earthworm?
    I beg you

What a brilliant press secretary! It only took four years to realize the obvious.
Although, why 4 years? It all started even earlier!
Remember Putin's "brilliant Munich speech"? Only the wrong conclusions and actions were drawn from it (Serdyukov was appointed to the Ministry of Defense, and a course toward reducing the Russian Armed Forces was set. Even the 2008 war with Georgia didn't stop the ruling class's evil actions).
