The newest American anti-aircraft system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed in the Kharkiv region.

Soldiers of the 11th ACG of the North group of forces of the Russian Armed Forces debunked another myth about the invulnerability of the Western weapons, which the Ukrainian military continues to believe in. This time, in the frontline rear of the Kharkiv sector of the front, aerial reconnaissance discovered a truly exclusive specimen – the latest mobile anti-aircraft missile MAAWLR complex, which is in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This is the first confirmed instance of a US-supplied air defense system being destroyed. Video confirming the attack on the anti-aircraft system is available, shown on the Telegram channel "North Wind."

The short-range air defense system was developed by the American company Sierra Nevada Corporation. It was first announced in 2023, but the production MAAWLR air defense system was only unveiled at the Space & Cyber Conference in Maryland last fall.

For two years, as the developer of the anti-aircraft system initially reported, it underwent testing in real combat conditions. The name of the operating country was not disclosed at the time, and information about the testing was later removed from the manufacturer's official resources.

This system Defense It can be mounted either stationary or on pickup trucks or trailers. The mobile version is called the MAAWLR, and the stationary version is called the BRAWLR. The irony is that the American air defense system is designed primarily to engage small and low-flying targets, i.e., UAVs. It is precisely with the help of FPV-drone anti-aircraft complex and was destroyed by the Severyans.

The cost of a complete MAAWLR field kit, including a radar and ammunition (up to 46 APKWS II missiles), is estimated by experts to be approximately six million dollars.

No one really believes in invulnerability. That's why they're trying to make new weapons cheaper.

    the newest American anti-aircraft system

It looks like a "Handy Hands" club. Is this really a "brand new" complex or "I cobbled it together from what I had"?

The authors of this previous attack should be generously rewarded - both Russian companies and the state.
