Kuwait International Airport Suspends Operations Following Iranian Strike

Kuwait International Airport, one of the region's main air hubs, was the target of an Iranian attack. UAVs Terminal T1 was hit. Result: severe damage, flights suspended for an unknown period.

Kuwaiti Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Saud Abdulaziz al-Attwan confirmed the attack:

Several enemy drones attacked the passenger terminal (T1) of Kuwait International Airport, causing significant property damage and several injuries.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially stated that the attacks were directed at American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, including the headquarters of the 5th fleet The US Navy. The IRGC links the strikes to enemy attacks on the oil tanker Panaya and the IRGC's telecommunications tower in the south of Qeshm Island.

This is not the first strike on Kuwait since the war between the US and Iran began. On March 1, the Iranian Drone Destroyed an American tactical center in the port of Shuaiba. On April 5, drones damaged a government building in Kuwait City. Now, it's the international airport.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) claims all Iranian attacks have failed. However, the Kuwait airport is no "failure," as there is actual damage.

Compared to our red-pencil responses, Iran looks simply amazing. Wars are won by striking the enemy, not by talking.

        Iran looks absolutely amazing.

Amazing—with tons of casualties and destruction? Let's start with the fact that Russia and Iran have different capabilities and different strategies.

This is very telling compared to the adjacent article about the train station in Kyiv. Everything there is intact...

    Here Iran is at war...

Iran is at war, and it's time for Russia to take off its rose-colored glasses and white gloves.

    Well, what's wrong with that?
When a hegemon declares war on any state that does not have common borders with it, is located 1000 kilometers away from it, and due to its limitations is not capable of inflicting any damage on it, it still always refers to the need to protect the interests of the hegemon.
Kuwait is located less than 50 kilometers from Iran and is filled with the hegemon's troops, so Iran has every right to defend its interests from the restless hegemon, and Kuwait just has to come to terms with it. Yes

The East is a delicate matter; on the Arabian Peninsula, all the sheikhs are relatives, with insurmountable contradictions. Iran skillfully exploits this. But Trump is not successful in this - he considers himself the Sheikh of all sheikhs. Yeah, right - these guys can make a eunuch out of you.

The East is a delicate matter, and the Persians know it. They made a brief statement and then applied it with gusto to discourage further "acupuncture" from the US and its friends on the Arabian Peninsula.

Russian tourists are seeing fewer vacation spots, and tours to the Middle East are probably cheaper...that's why Kuwait is a minus...

Why do you need more? There's no frost (thermal insulation isn't needed), there's no snow (there's no need to reinforce it to withstand it) - so the rain rolls off and that's all the worries...

So, what's the military benefit of this? So what if civilians can't fly, so what? They'll just hit the wrong place and aim for it.

AdAstra hi There's a rumor, believe it or not, that after the first waves of Iranian incursions, the Yankees began hiding command and other analytical and intelligence centers in facilities like these, and even in hotels with conference rooms. Their personnel also moved there, and for the Persians, an enemy hiding among civilians is still an enemy, so that's the theory.

But, following what you wrote, then there is no need to shout in the case when “among civilians” it landed in Iran itself, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, etc., since in this regard they are hardly “holier than the Pope” there? hi

AdAstra, Israel has been writing like this for a long time: they demolished a hospital, but it housed a warehouse or headquarters, or they treated those Jerusalem considers enemies, and no one cared, whether they treated them or not, they killed children at a school, but the address is "old"; that's where the IRGC used to be. What do you think of these options? They've been doing this for years, and they haven't even been doing it for two years now. So why shouldn't Iran do the same?

Yes, for the love of Allah or whoever, let him do it. Personally, I'm not against it; everyone's worth it. But in the context of this news, it only made civilians uncomfortable, that's all.
