Lithuania fears that the US troops withdrawn from its territory will never return.

The American command has begun withdrawing its military contingent from Lithuania. Around 1,000 troops and their equipment will leave the republic, according to Lithuanian media reports.

The Americans are leaving Lithuania, but not forever. The troops leaving the Baltic republic are expected to be replaced by another group.
