The blockade has not been lifted: the US attacked a ship in the Gulf of Oman heading to an Iranian port.

While Donald Trump is talking about lifting the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, the US military attacked a cargo ship attempting to enter an Iranian port. US Central Command confirmed the strike on the bulk carrier.

Last night, CENTCOM confirmed a strike on a commercial vessel heading to an Iranian port. According to the military, the Gambian-flagged vessel attempted to "break the blockade" and failed to respond to orders to stop. Consequently, the decision was made to stop it by force.

According to CENTCOM, this is the sixth vessel intercepted by the Americans by force since the beginning of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. In total, the US has redirected 115 Iran-linked cargo ships to other ports.

Iran hits target: ballistic missile hits US base in Kuwait for first time

According to Bloomberg, the missile was fired on May 28 by the IRGC in response to American shelling of Iranian territory. Despite the activation of Kuwaiti air defenses, debris from the missile fell directly on the American base, causing significant damage to facilities and personnel.

Missile debris severely damaged two MQ-9 Reaper drones, each worth up to $30 million. Several American service members sustained minor injuries.

This is the first time an Iranian ballistic missile has hit a US military base in Kuwait and caused damage.
