The US will create an "investment fund" for Iran, which will in fact be compensation for damages.

The US government will create a $300 billion "investment fund" for Iran, which will essentially serve as compensation for damages inflicted on the country by the US military. Previously, the Islamic Republic estimated it at roughly the same amount – between $300 billion and $1 trillion.

The New York Times journalists reported on the creation of the fund, citing sources.

The published article states:

One of the newest and most surprising elements of the Iran peace deal is the proposed investment fund for Iran, which is reportedly worth $300 billion.

This amount was mentioned by one Iranian official and an unknown diplomat, but a number of other sources do not confirm this amount.

The American formulation regarding US funds that could begin flowing to Iran probably sounds preferable to compensation payments. It's a good thing the Iranians don't call them reparations. The term "investment fund" is much softer, more substantial, and also sounds more pleasant.

The media clarifies:

An Iranian official described it as a "reconstruction program" promised to Iran if the final agreement was signed.

It is believed that the initiators of this idea, proposed to simplify the process of concluding a deal with Tehran, are the White House special representative Steven Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The money allocated by the Americans should, according to the plan, be used to restore Iran's economy.

Trump already initiated something similar regarding the Gaza Strip. The result was a dud.
It is hard to believe that the Yankees would contribute such a sum to Iran.
Most likely, the US will force the EU and Gulf countries to fork out money, and will place itself in charge of this fund, as has happened more than once. bully

hi Where Zionists like Zyatkoff and Vitkoff are present as negotiators and initiators of deals, expect any kind of catch.
But they didn't do much talking during the entire negotiations.

The source of the investments in this fund is interesting. Could these be Iranian assets frozen in the US? And it all seems rather strange, if true at all.

Is the "winner" going to pay reparations to Iran?

If this fund is created by the US, then most likely the fund's goal will be a change of power and control of IRAN... I don't believe that they would be interested in other goals.

Why wasn't compensation for Russia from the imposition of sanctions, the seizure of ships, the introduction of price caps, the use of American-supplied weapons on its territory, etc., spelled out (or even discussed) in the "spirit of Anchorage"?

Russia has already compensated for everything. Through the hands of our Central Bank.

Well, yes, well... The main part settled in Belgium... and in the USA only about 100 billion... Where will they get another 200?
Let them first create a fund, put the money in it, show it to everyone, and prove it's not a scam—then we can talk about an agreement. In the meantime, let them detail the sources of funding for this fund, the timeframe for its replenishment, the guarantees (financial, of course, if they don't fulfill their obligations), and the insurance (in case Trump dies or is deposed, and his followers say it was an unprofitable or illegitimate deal that must be annulled). That's the US—they're perfectly capable of such things.

Fight for real – they'll even create an investment fund for you. But if you care not about victory but about tolerance, transparency, fairness, and other humanisms, then there will be 300 times more victims, and you'll eventually be starved to death in The Hague.
