Footage of the new domestic anti-aircraft gun in action has appeared online. artillery complex with a caliber of 30 mm. It is intended primarily to counter drones.

The footage from "Obsessed with War" shows the ZAK operating against Ukrainian "Lyuty" aircraft-type UAVs.



A key distinguishing feature of this system is its ability to visually detect targets in the dark using its thermal imaging system. Furthermore, the radar system is equipped with an analytical core that enables the use of artificial intelligence to recognize specific targets.

The footage shows an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle appearing in the center of the targeting reticle, after which the ZAK opens fire, literally disintegrating the drone in mid-air. The drone's wreckage then falls to the ground, and the system begins searching for a new target. Once it finds one, the ZAK destroys it with its own fire.



With the scaling up of production of such systems, the situation with countering enemy UAVs may change significantly.

    Let's take a facility several hundred hectares in size. Say 500. That's (5 x 1) km. Then the perimeter is 12 km. For each SAC, overlapping the adjacent ones, the area is 2 km. Then six of them would cover a sizeable oil refinery. And a couple more mobile ones, for rapid response in all sorts of "emergency" situations... Roughly, but 1000 of them would cover 6 huge facilities! And the cost is incomparable to the yacht of, say, the "Abramovich."
