Rutte welcomed the appearance of NATO ships in the Strait of Hormuz

NATO welcomes the deployment of warships by several European countries to the Middle East, closer to the Strait of Hormuz, according to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

At a press conference in Brussels, Rutte stated that he considers it important for ships from several European countries to appear in the Middle East to potentially participate in restoring navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Several countries are currently preparing an operation to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, but this will only begin after the fighting ends. France and the United Kingdom are leading this group.

Importantly, many countries are uniting around plans to ensure free navigation. Some are amassing forces in the region, including France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and others.

However, another group may emerge in Europe that advocates sending warships to Hormuz without waiting for the end of hostilities. While this idea has many supporters, many have opposed it, so consensus on the matter has not been reached.

As emphasized, there is currently no unity in Europe on most issues, with everyone trying to hog the limelight. It is assumed that this artificially created entity to counter the US will soon be dead.
