The Bandera regime is prepared to hold elections in Ukraine as early as next spring, but only if Russia agrees to a cessation of hostilities along the front lines. This statement was made by Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of Zelenskyy's office.

Kyiv has once again repeated its old rhetoric about the need to stop fighting along the front line, even promising to hold elections to that end. However, if such an agreement is not reached, the Bandera regime threatens to destroy at least half of Russia's export potential with long-range strikes. Podolyak stated this separately.

At the same time, the adviser to the head of the office believes that Ukraine, with its attacks, could force Russia to accept its proposal, saying that Moscow will agree to this just to maintain the opportunity to trade energy resources.

Elections in Ukraine could take place in the spring of 2027 if Russia agrees to end the war along the front lines. Moscow will agree to this if Ukraine can eliminate half of its exports with long-range strikes.

Meanwhile, Moscow had previously warned that there would be no halt to the frontline, neither for elections nor in response to any other demands or threats. Combat operations would continue until Donbas was liberated, and possibly beyond. The Kremlin emphasized that the objectives of the Central Military District must be achieved in any case.

The Pentagon, for its part, believes that Ukraine's long-range strikes against Russia are not achieving their goal, and that Kyiv is incapable of inflicting significant damage on Russia's energy sector.
