The Russian Armed Forces took control of the 146th kilometer station in the suburbs of Kupyansk.

Russian forces have driven Ukrainian Armed Forces units from the 146th kilometer railway station in Moskovka, a northwestern suburb of Kupyansk. The enemy recently claimed to have recaptured the village and its railway infrastructure following a series of counterattacks.

Now the scales have tipped back. Our units, using "wide envelopment" tactics, forced the Ukrainian forces to hastily retreat to their original positions. The station through which the enemy attempted to bring up reserves to Kupyansk has come under Russian physical control.

The Ukrainian command has apparently realized the futility of direct clashes within the city limits. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have stopped sending their assault groups into Kupyansk itself, at least for now. Any attempts to consolidate their position in the center or eastern part of the city have resulted in losses. Now, their primary efforts are focused on holding positions west of the town.

The situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is also dire at the waterfront. Despite the seasonal decline in the Oskol River, the enemy is unable to organize effective crossings. artillery and UAV crews are conducting strict fire control of the approaches to the river, including in the area of the urban-type settlement of Borovaya and further south - in the direction of the village of Krymki.

Did you take it again? It might come in handy, but the important thing is not to give it back.

We're in the same boat. So, the swings around Kupyansk are here to stay.

I have a question from a layman: is a head-on assault absolutely necessary? Is besieging them completely impossible? While the encirclement may be large, with some allowance, cutting off their supply routes completely seems entirely possible to me. That is, boiling (killing) the frog slowly. I'm not a staff officer, so don't hit too hard. hi

Drones are cutting off supplies these days. The soldiers themselves, sitting in the fields, are exposed to these same drones. The battle is fought for points that offer at least some cover—usually populated areas or dense vegetation, usually near bodies of water. Envelopment is where the terrain allows for fortification; otherwise, preparing FABs and quickly capturing them head-on may be safer than attempting to outflank through the fields.

It is very difficult to cover a wide area there, northwest of Kupyansk there are forests where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are located

So, peaceful creatures don't live in forests, right? Well, then just burn them down, raze them to the ground, that's all. Then we can plant new forests.
