Europe is developing a new cruise missile with a range of 2 kilometers.

The Dutch company Destinus, together with the German concern Rheinmetall, are accelerating the development of a new missiles RUTA Block 3, intended, among other things, for Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian press.

The Netherlands is developing a whole family of RUTA missiles. Currently, the RUTA Block 1 missile is in serial production, RUTA Block 2 is undergoing testing in Ukraine and is scheduled for serial production this year, and the new RUTA Block 3 missile is scheduled for testing next year. Naturally, these tests will take place in Ukraine "under combat conditions."

The new European missile is said to be capable of striking targets at ranges of up to 2 kilometers using a 250 kg warhead. The guidance system combines autonomous navigation for operation in GNSS signal suppression conditions with terminal detection and guidance systems.

The developers at Destinus immediately announced that this missile would be delivered to Ukraine, because Ukrainians were allegedly involved in its creation and even producing some components.

Serial production of the RUTA Block 3 rocket is planned to begin at Rheinmetall's Unterlüss site in 2027 or 2028, depending on the completion of flight tests and certification.

Everyone's long forgotten about that "kindergarten"! All possible "red lines" have long since been crossed. I wonder, are a number of European countries planning to develop their own nuclear weapons, and will they also be tested in combat conditions in Ukraine?

2000 kilometers is from Kharkov with a reserve through Yekaterinburg or Chelyabinsk.
Does this mean that the day of this "Block 3"'s arrival in our cities will be the last day of the existence of Holland and Rheinmetall (Dusseldorf)?
Or only if it's May 9th and only for the Parade - and even in that case WE PROMISE the Bankova paragraph?

I'd hope this contraption's first flight toward Russia would result in a powerful blowback against the factories involved in its production and its arsenals. Russia has the means to effectively destroy them. It's up to those charged with the task to make the decision.

And I myself am becoming more and more doubtful - "we are such people", damn...
In all fairness, they have already earned their money long ago.

No, colleague, they weren't waving Sarmatian at Europe. There's something else to hit it with to bring it to its senses.
They waved Sarmat at the mattresses so they'd sit quietly while Russia bombed European weapons factories. After all, a missile carrying 10 nuclear warheads and capable of evading all their air defenses is a serious thing.
Their Trident also has 10 warheads, but theirs are 150 kilotons, while ours are 750 kilotons, which seems to suggest they should sit tight. There's no doubt that the Europeans, due to their stubborn Russophobia and political stupidity, will eventually get their share of beatings; they're incredibly persistent. The only question is how soon. Perhaps this "test" of the new missile from a Ukrainian test site will be the last straw for Russia's patience. hi

I suspected the same thing when I kept saying that America wasn't ready to trade the Baltics, Rzeszow, or even London for New York or Los Angeles. And that Europe itself would be surprised by the enormous "fizzle" its nearly 80-year-old blind faith in Article 5 would turn out to be.

But here, the opinion of most of my colleagues from the Military District is apparently diametrically opposed to the opinion of the one who will have to give the order. And, sadly, the biggest surprises are still to come, not just for Europe. They'll be stupid enough to cause us trouble, too.

However, it is not for nothing that our Russian folklore contains a bunch of sayings like "Until the thunder strikes, the man won't cross himself," "Until the rooster pecks his ass," or "Russians take a long time to harness, but they ride fast."
Apparently the rooster is already getting ready to peck, the horses have finished their oats, and the thunder hasn't struck yet, but it's already rumbled. Whatever one may say, despite all attempts to reach an agreement, Russia is left with no choice but to at least once hit their European backside. With the current crop of politicians representing the European Union, they are, alas, incapable of reaching an agreement.

It seems to me that the cup of the majority of the Russian people has long been overflowing. Especially the people of the territories bordering the Ukrainian Reich. But unfortunately, our rulers have a different cup, and the volume there is quite strange and incomprehensible. It seems that only PERSONAL responsibility and the issue of personal safety (as at the May 9th parade and during the raid on the residence in Novgorod) can force them to make sudden and drastic moves.

When you pose the question like that, do you think only Russia has nuclear weapons? Ballistic missiles with special warheads, based solely on French nuclear submarines, are capable of destroying dozens of major Russian cities, including Moscow and Leningrad. That would mean tens of millions of civilian lives and the near-total loss of the country's industrial potential. Perhaps it's time to realistically assess our capabilities and make decisions based on that?

Why lose statehood in a nuclear war? Even the Russian princes under the Mongols didn't think of that. If you're mistaken in your expectations and plans, stop, catch your breath, and gather your strength. It's all just folk wisdom.

Britain's strategic submarines are in the North Sea.
From there, they will be able to carry out flat-line strikes on cities with a population of over a million, on Northern Fleet bases, and on the Plesetsk Cosmodrome with minimal flight time.
For all the most important objects in the European part of Russia.

They've been waiting three years for what's promised. Right around 2029, the Bundeswehr's top brass is promising Putin's attack on innocent, hapless Europe. But seriously, there's always a certain leeway between what politicians promise and what they actually do; that's understandable and normal. But this leeway has become painfully large; it's hard to see from one side of the river to the other lately.

Well, if Rheinmetall is involved, we can forget about the missile. The company has been scooping up orders from the German government, but is unable to fulfill them. The products they did produce haven't caught on with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where they complain about the weapons' low quality and poor performance. Loans from the German government weren't used for production development, but rather for buying back its own shares on the market. Rheinmetall's top management is busy reaping large royalties from government loans.

What difference does it make whether they took root there or not? Our frontline troops and civilians are dying from these experiments. The fact is that Germany, ignoring all possible warnings from our Foreign Ministry, has now become the main sponsor of the Kyiv junta and has shamelessly kicked its military-industrial complex into overdrive. I suspect that Tauruses and other long-range missiles have long been in Ukraine, perhaps just biding their time. Now, thanks to the silent mooing of our Foreign Ministry, drones not only of Ukrainian design and assembly are flying over Russian territory. If we continue playing Leopold, it will be the missiles that will fly. And who knows what these missiles will be loaded with.

Molotov's diary reveals that he didn't understand from the telegram that it was specifically about war and asked the ambassador what that meant. The ambassador, despite instructions not to engage in discussion, informally expressed his personal opinionthat we are talking about war (Ambassador Schulenburg was categorically opposed to war with the USSR, so what happened was also a shock for him).

Last night, he said, several telegrams were received from Berlin. The German government instructed him to convey the following note to the Soviet government... Schulenburg said he could not express his dejected mood, caused by his government's unjustified and unexpected action. The ambassador said he had devoted all his efforts to creating peace and friendship with the USSR.
Comrade Molotov asks what does this note mean?
Schulenburg replies that, in his opinion, this is the beginning of the war.
