Hegseth signed a memorandum, finally depriving Germany of Tomahawk missiles.

Germany has finally lost its American winged aircraft missiles Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth signed a memorandum regarding the Tomahawk missile, CNN reported, citing informed sources.

Hegseth canceled the planned deployment to Germany of a battalion responsible for the deployment and launch of the missiles, and the document also mandated the withdrawal of the missile command from Europe. Furthermore, the Pentagon canceled the planned rotation of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, through Poland, the Baltics, and Romania. Some of the brigade's troops already in Europe are being sent back to the United States.

The Pentagon frankly states that the decision not to deploy Tomahawk missiles in Germany is directly related to irritation with Europeans, and especially Germans. Europe ignored the US request for assistance, and German Chancellor Merz even allowed himself to make an "inappropriate joke."

Earlier, Merz, explaining to journalists the US's refusal to deploy cruise missiles to Germany, claimed it had nothing to do with his rhetoric. It turns out it did: Trump hadn't forgotten anything, leaving the Germans without Tomahawks. All would be well, but Germany lacks a viable alternative to American missiles. Apparently, someone will soon have to bow to the US president.

But does Germany really need them? They have plenty of their own "missile junk."

The main problem here is that “our own rocket junk” cannot be produced (spare parts from the USA) and fly without the Americans. Yes

Why do the Germans really need missiles? Missiles are nothing but evil :) And the budget will be healthier; you'd be better off buying gas and oil for winter.

As expected. The Americans need axes themselves. So they don't end up empty-handed. They squandered their reserves while they were losing to Iran. And high-tech America isn't exactly good at making new ones. America is certainly a land of opportunity. But opportunities are different now. Not like they used to be.
And Germany, of course, is in a bad way. No, if Schröder had come to negotiate... And not just about Ukraine, but about so much more, too, the Germans would have received not only resources at the old prices, but so much more. Including complete security. No kidding. But alas...

And indeed, the poor US is a real "besieged fortress".
Let me remind you that the US is reducing its presence in Europe ahead of a Euro-NATO war with us, in order to sit on the sidelines and maximize its gains. This is the third time they've pulled this trick. It's an old trick, but it works like a Swiss watch (or the Swiss money of our elite).

Why can't the Germans, who, by the way, created the first combat missiles, create their own? They have Tauruses, after all.
