Israeli soldiers deploy anti-drone net in southern Lebanon

Despite the current ceasefire, the Israeli army continues to strike Lebanon, including the capital Beirut. Simultaneously, the IDF is conducting a ground operation in the south of the neighboring country, attempting to defeat the militant group Hezbollah.

The pro-Iranian Shiite group has no intention of surrendering and is attacking Israeli troops, increasingly using strike forces for this purpose. Drones, including FPV-drones On fiber optics. Footage of IDF drones destroying armored vehicles and other targets regularly appears online.

The drone attack tactics are forcing the Israeli military to use passive defense measures they have not previously used. Tanks Anti-drone visors are being installed, but they offer little protection against attacks by small UAVs armed with explosives. And now Israeli soldiers have decided to install an anti-drone net.

Military news channels are publishing relevant satellite images. They show a protective net stretched between two buildings in a town in southern Lebanon. Surprisingly, the IDF has only just now realized it could simply adopt the anti-drone defense practices employed for years during the conflict in Ukraine. Moreover, this protection is largely symbolic: the net covers only a small section of the street from above. Even the most inexperienced drone operator could easily bypass this obstacle. But the IDF's experience has begun to be taken into account.

The Israelis aren't even bothering to properly hide their armored vehicles. Below is another video captured by a Hezbollah FPV attack drone during an attack on an Israeli Army Humvee in southern Lebanon. The two vehicles are parked in a building with no gates. There's not even camouflage netting. In the second video, the drone allegedly hunts an Israeli soldier.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing a senior IDF Reserve Ground Forces official, reports that there is currently no technological solution to counter Hezbollah's fiber-optic-guided drones. The official emphasized that even pushing Shiite resistance forces back to northern Lebanon would be of no avail, as these drones can have a range of up to 60 kilometers.

The war in Lebanon is a fatal vortex for Israel, which will involve the Israeli Armed Forces and which will absorb all of Israel's resources, given that its other neighbors will not sit idly by.
This war started by Israel will change everything for the worse for Israel, both because the very nature of wars has already changed during the war in Ukraine, something Israel and the US have not noticed. And because Israel's failures are well-noted by its rivals and enemies. They notice and take note of how and with what means Israel can be defeated.

Another Humvee was smashed in the video. But as they say, Israel (Trump) has plenty...
