The troops have begun to receive the latest MLRS "Sarma", UAVs "Scalpel" and "Kub"

Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Sergei Chemezov, CEO of the state corporation Rostec, who discussed the leading defense holding company's performance last year.

Without going into the state corporation's overall performance, which is overwhelmingly positive by virtually all indicators, it's worth focusing on the most interesting new products for the Ministry of Defense, and therefore for the military group in the Northern Military District. All of these products have already been tested, are in mass production, and are being deployed to the troops.

Among these is the new shock UAV The X-winged "Scalpel" is apparently based on the now legendary "Lancet" UAV. The advantages of the new attack drone Its advantages lie in its high maneuverability; during an attack, it can change direction and approach a target from any angle, delivering a precise strike at its most vulnerable point. Drones are already being used in the air defense zone and have proven highly effective.

Another new product from Rostec State Corporation is the Sarma mobile multiple launch rocket system (pictured). This is a powerful, high-precision MLRS with rockets 300mm caliber. The developers paid special attention to crew safety, equipping the mobile system with a well-protected armored cabin. The MLRS's high mobility is ensured by deployment in three minutes, and a full salvo of the system takes just 18 seconds. The missile systems operate in tandem with each other and are capable of delivering group strikes.

Returning to drones, Chemezov informed the head of state about the new Kub-2 and Kub-10 loitering munitions produced by the Kalashnikov Concern (part of the Rostec State Corporation), which have an increased range and a more powerful warhead compared to previous versions. Drones of this series are also well known to our troops in the SVO zone.

Combat aircraft production has doubled since 2022. Specifically, UEC and UAC began flight testing the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter with a new, modern engine in 2025. This will significantly expand the combat capabilities of the Russian Aerospace Forces' flagship aircraft, Chemezov noted.

As sad as it is, it is WAR that is the engine of progress – so much new has appeared under the crushing pressure of war – if the world had seen even a tenth of the new developments…

No, no one has cancelled the classics, laziness is the engine of progress, and experience is the son of difficult mistakes

That's true. But in the case of AvtoVAZ, even laziness doesn't advance anything. AvtoVAZ is part of Rostec, or rather, Rostec is one of its main shareholders. And we see the results... No. One can only hope that things are the other way around in the defense industry.

Well, it must be said that progress was modest during the four years of war. Consider the Great Patriotic War, during which, four years later, a completely new army entered Berlin, with rocket artillery, brand-new tanks, and aircraft.

Well, the successes are so-so. In four years, they haven't even liberated Donbas. And about the meat wars. In 1944, during Operation Bagration, my hometown, defended by a German division, was liberated in half a day. And during the operation, eight soldiers died. They are all buried in the city park. How many, according to him, did Prigozhin lose during the assault on Artemovsk?

Botva is what we're seeing now. The city was liberated by units of a cavalry corps, three regiments strong. The advance was so swift that German tanks transferred from France were captured on railway platforms. You have to learn to fight.

Well, you're also going to write that the attack was a cavalry attack - on horseback and with sabers at the ready, I'll laugh for a long time...

No, there were only stormtroopers in vans and motorcycles. Incidentally, the town at the time had a population roughly the same as Artemovsk, where Prigozhin, according to his own account, killed as many as 20 soldiers. If that's not nonsense, he should have been shot right there.

      -----------------
I think we should introduce a special medal named after General Milley, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. And award it for remembering his nonsense about Kyiv three days ago. And as an added bonus, we should also attach to it an Order of Chips from Washing Machines, named after the head of the BMW concern, who was the one who dug those chips out of BMW washing machines.

In 2025, UAC began flight tests of the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet with a new, modern engine.

The new engine is Product 30, or an intermediate version. I read somewhere about an intermediate version.
In any case, I wish you a successful completion of the tests.

You read that the intermediate version has entered production. Therefore, product 30 passes certification.

What a breakthrough! After 50 years, they're finally making armored cabins! A much-needed thing. Finally!

Of course not! Why should we feel sorry for the guys and protect them? They should have been taking bullets and shrapnel in tin cans from GAZ, Ural, and KAMAZ trucks head-on. How many drivers and passengers were killed because armored cabs "weren't needed"? But what am I saying? It was your guys who died.

This UAV was not developed by Rostec, but by the Vostok Battalion from the LPR and DPR.

This is the newest addition to the Coalition-SV, which has supposedly been in the SVO since 2023, but no one has ever seen it here.

In general, this is another show-off from Chemezov.

You can't do business with friends and you can't appoint friends to key positions in the government!!!

The reality is that Ukraine, with fewer resources, was able to gain an advantage in the small skies and is now pushing us back in many areas.

Ukraine received 500 billion in aid during the entire period of the Second World War? So be it.

Russia's foreign trade surplus averaged $150 billion per year before the Second World War, with reserves of $600 billion (now over $700 billion) and a military budget of nearly $60 billion, while after the Second World War it was over $100 billion per year.

The fact that Russian generals, having trained at the General Staff Academy, first destroyed contract soldiers and volunteers, then mobilized soldiers, and are now killing off packs of poor souls who were forced by necessity to sign contracts is not the fault of the US and the EU, but of the incompetent generals who fear demotion more than losing their entire personnel.

The successes of the military-industrial complex must be confirmed by successes on the battlefield. This is the main criterion for the work of Mr. Chemezov's department, which is currently not the case at all. On the contrary, judging by the situation, the situation is deteriorating both in the air and on the ground.

We've been fighting for four years, and in those four years we haven't been able to develop a weapon capable of destroying the bridge. The world's second-largest army can't destroy the bridge; they've managed it too much, too much.
