T-72 and howitzer hybrid: the purpose of the new Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicle has been established

In August 2025, a photograph appeared of an unusual vehicle that was a combination of the hull of the 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and a turret. tank T-72B. It has been suggested that it is intended to play the role of a self-propelled gun.

However, as recent publications have revealed, this hybrid turned out to be a homemade armored recovery vehicle. The driver's station received a number of improvements, including a screen displaying images from the front and rear cameras, significantly enhancing situational awareness.

The mechanic's station, which occupies the turret and part of the hull, is equipped with a full range of instruments. The vehicle also received additional mesh armor to increase its resistance to FPV attacks.drones.

Thanks to its chosen chassis, the ARV can evacuate numerous types of wheeled and tracked vehicles from the battlefield. In one photo, the vehicle is towing what appears to be a T-62 tank.

This is far from the first homemade ARV converted from existing vehicles. A T-62 used for the evacuation of damaged vehicles has already been encountered. A tractor based on the T-64 has also been spotted. Other interesting developments include a fire support vehicle, a hybrid of a BMP-2 turret and a T-62 tank chassis.

Here are some innovations, because in the neighboring article they wrote that there are no advances in light and medium equipment, but it turns out that there are in heavy equipment.

All these "hybrids" and "conversions" aren't the result of a good life. They're due to a shortage of specific pieces of equipment...

Not only that! The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively searching for "wonder weapons." This is facilitated by the lack of obstacles to "technological creativity" (!)...in contrast to the mindless bureaucracy of the Russian Ministry of Defense!

Just how many 2S19s did our "heroes" have to throw at the enemy for them to make entire types of weapons out of them?

There is no need to slander people.
They are true heroes. But how many working batteries there were for ten tanks is a question that will be studied by future historians, not by the prosecutors of the past.

The question will be studied by future historians

If the victory against the occupier was classified for 50 years, then for how many years will the SVO be classified?
And here's how many working batteries there were for ten tanks,

        I remembered:
“When the Russian army appears at the front in front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it will be easy to understand.
The first sign is the failure of all means of communication, the complete discharge of batteries in vehicles, tanks and other equipment, and at the same time the discharge of batteries in cell phones, sights, and radios.
This is how the Khingan system works, with a radius of 20 km.
