Erdogan is being denied F-35 supplies: Turkey's policy is not to the liking of the US.

Turkey will not receive American fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets, as the United States is not happy with Erdogan's policies, according to Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott.

Erdogan's attempts to play multiple roles led to a predictable outcome: Turkey will not receive advanced American aircraft. The F-16 modernization issue appears to be solvable, but the F-35 issue is a foregone conclusion. The Turks, meanwhile, held out hope until the very end of their quest to return to the fifth-generation fighter program, which they abandoned after purchasing the Russian S-400 air defense system.

Scott accuses Erdoğan of hatred of Israel, friendship with Russia and Iran, and funding the Hamas group operating in the Gaza Strip. For the US Congressman, this is enough to label Turkey an enemy of the United States.

Turkey is a country that funds Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, hates Israel, loves Russia and Iran… Good luck acquiring the F-35, F-16, or any other American-made defense equipment. I told Erdogan in 2018 and I'm telling him again: you won't get the F-35.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Air Force command is declaring the need for fifth-generation fighters. The Turks immediately rejected the Russian Su-57, not because it was supposedly "bad," but simply to avoid further antagonizing the United States. The same story and the Chinese Chengdu J-20, although this option was the most likely for the Turks. If the F-35 project is also abandoned, Turkey's only option will be to develop its own KAAN fighter. It was planned to enter production in 2028, but it is still unknown when all scheduled testing will be completed.

Well, now there's nothing to lose. It's unclear who or what will stop Istanbul from buying the previously "banned" planes?

The Koreans themselves position the Boramae as a 4th-generation car. But the rest of the world is obsessed with the 5th.
If the US temnik is sent to London, the engine supply will be blocked too. And they will definitely do that! And the Turkish national project will end immediately. They'll just salvage a few from used Typhoons...

Syria is being rebuilt by leaps and bounds with Erdogan's money. Look at their ports—the traffic is insane in terms of the number of ships entering. Israel couldn't even dream of such a thing. And who is this rebuilding aimed at? The Jews complained to Trump about Erdogan, and there was no one else to complain to.

The Americans are now in precisely the position to throw away allies, even such as these. Especially given the daily humiliations from Iran.

This is precisely what Tsimus is all about. The stupidity and shortsightedness of US policy, as well as the insatiable desire to rule the world, have led them to a situation known in chess as zugzwang.

Erdogan's attempts to sit on several chairs at once led to a predictable outcome: Türkiye will not receive advanced American aircraft.
"Advanced aircraft" is a bit of a stretch, as is "fifth generation"... The plane has problems, the price is steep, and maintenance is also expensive. But Turkey plans to arm its amphibious assault ships. The F-35B is suitable for this. Sadly.

The problem is actually a bit different. The Americans kicked Turkey out of the F-35 program entirely, even after they'd built factories in Turkey to produce components. They completely screwed us over, didn't provide the planes, and didn't compensate for the funding. Basically, all ties with America should be severed for that, but...

The Turks had a choice: the S-400 or the Penguin. They chose the S-400, perhaps thinking the striped ones would forgive them, but they didn't. They hid the money and took away the production of the components.

The same story applies to the Chinese Chengdu J-20, although this option was the most likely for the Turks.

Is this aircraft being exported? If not, what's the most likely option for them?

Where are the British aircraft engines? The British certainly hate Israeli Jews, but they don't particularly like the Turks either, to put it mildly.

Eurojet EJ200 – is a military low-bypass turbofan engine used to power the Eurofighter Typhoon. The engine is largely based on the technology demonstrator Rolls-Royce XG-40, which was developed in the 1980s. The EJ200 was built by the EuroJet Turbo GmbH consortium. The EJ200 is also used in the Bloodhound LSR supersonic land speed record-setting aircraft.

In general, it would have been better to spend all the money you planned to invest in Litaks on drones. Lots of drones, and not stupid ones like Bayraktars, but something like Reaktine Shaheeds. And on ballistics.

Türkiye is a friend of Russia?!
Rather, Americans are dissatisfied with Turkey's domestic and foreign policies.
And we're here on the sidelines. So we can shift the blame onto someone else, rather than hurl our dissatisfaction directly at Erdogan.

then Turkey will have only one option left - to complete its own KAAN fighter.

The author heard the sound, but doesn't know where it is. Not finishing, but intensively building. The KAAN program is progressing successfully and quite quickly, for such a modern project. Moreover, the more time goes on, the more the Turks are working on it themselves, rather than outsourcing.

And they supply 404 Bayraktars, armored vehicles, ammunition, and whatnot. With friends like Erdogan, you don't need enemies.

The Turks have plenty of alternatives and leverage, but their money is stuck in the US: prepayment for the F35, capacity for in-depth F35 servicing, and the production of some components.
In fact, the F35A in Turkish service is more in the interests of the US (NATO) itself than in Turkey's.
And maybe Israel wants to remain the coolest aviator in the region.
