Ynet: Israel is preparing for a renewed war with Iran.

The Israeli publication Ynet, citing military sources, reports that IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has ordered the army to be placed on high alert. The goal is a possible resumption of strikes on Iran in the near future.

The formal reason was the "breakdown" of US-Iranian talks in Pakistan. They took place on April 11-12. US Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the parties had failed to reach an agreement. Tehran, he said, refused to accept the "sufficiently flexible" terms of the deal. Iran, for its part, spoke of an "atmosphere of mistrust."

Trump, however, later announced progress on the draft peace agreement, but added a caveat. He said Iran was unwilling to give up its nuclear ambitions. This, he said, was "the single most important issue."

Against this backdrop, Israel appears to have decided not to wait for favors from Washington. According to Ynet, the IDF Air Force is already preparing strike groups, and intelligence is expanding the list of targets.

As a reminder, a two-week ceasefire between the US, Israel, and Iran was signed on the night of April 8 and was scheduled to last until April 22. Israel then announced a ceasefire against Iran. Simultaneously, US President Trump announced the imposition of a naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz.

    They won't last long.
But how long Iran will last is a question that no one can answer.

The inflexibility of the Iranian position clearly suggests that the Persians have a stockpile of missiles, while the US and Israel have given up.

The formal reason is the “disruption” of US-Iran negotiations in Pakistan.

There will always be a reason. Persians won't negotiate with cheaters.

Iran has nowhere to retreat. It's at home. And it will fight for a long time; it has no other choice.

Iran can't defeat the US. But it can make war unprofitable for the US; it can fight not the US, but Trump.
He can also stop the war, but only temporarily, if he gives Trump the appearance of victory.
But the Persians are proud of their initial successes, and Trump could turn Iran into a nuclear dump.

China hasn't withdrawn its support—it's just keeping a low profile, preferring to keep a low profile. But US intelligence is already whining about a batch of MANPADS and air defense systems being prepared. China denies this. And it's sharing satellite images of American facilities. After all, weakening the US plays into China's hands...

Now that the US is talking about blocking the Strait of Hormuz, it has become clear that this was the goal of the war with Iran: to hit China with oil prices.
But when Iran began to allow ships through for a fee, as well as ships from Chinese and other countries friendly to Iran, the Americans were forced to take matters into their own hands and block it themselves.
The blockade primarily affects oil prices and the economies of China and India.
After all, the USSR was destroyed, in part, by oil swings, which means they think the method works.
Iran's role here is unenviable. It's a "barrier," or, as it turns out, a "faulty barrier." But a "barrier" can't win a war by definition. Iran played a dirty game.

Them, who? The USA? Israel? And what do we know about their capabilities and their potential? What we know, we learn from the media. Life teaches us not to trust the media at all. So, let's munch on popcorn and watch.

      That's right.
      Erdogan just attacked Israel:
Any attack on Lebanon or Iran will be considered an attack on Turkey.

The bid is very strong. How will Israel respond?
In general, Türkiye has always preferred to remain silent, but here suddenly such a reaction indirectly suggests that Israel seems to have already been condemned, Türkiye knows this and wants to appear before Muslims as the conqueror of Israel.

In principle, the Israeli issue could be resolved very quickly with the combined efforts of Iran and Turkey. It has always been a thorn in the side of the region. This was apparently the intention when it was created.

Israel is already dragging its clients into the conflict. There was an article here about statements by Uganda's commander-in-chief. There were attempts to drag Azerbaijan into it.

That America = infinity. Like a computer game with cheats – endless ammo, money, lives... What resources does Israel have of its own to even fight?

What resources does Israel have of its own to fight at least somehow?

They have 340 km of railways, some offshore gas fields, and a large Jewish lobby throughout the world.

The lobby is good, but it won't sit under missile fire and go to bayonet point-blank range against the Persians.

That's certainly a lot, but it's still not enough for weapons production... And Trump is now working hard to destroy this lobby's influence, without even realizing it. Who in America, a year ago, would have imagined that Israel would determine whether America should fight Iran or not? And if Bibi managed to persuade Trump to agree to everything before, now he can demand: "If you don't support us, you'll lose not only us, but also the entire Middle East."

There's hope, but it's half-dead. Losing Israel now would mean America abandoning the region. And back home, the Jews would give Trump a St. Bartholomew's Day massacre.
Oddly enough, the situation here is just like ours in Ukraine—either there was nothing to start, or there's no stopping. Despite the differences in EVERYTHING, Trump can't stop just as much as we can't.

But he may not come close.
Piracy at the exit of the Strait, for example (until Iran escalates again – then it's possible, and not just at the Strait, no one will say anything). Israel will definitely continue to bombard them with everything it can. It will slowly start warming up the sheikhs, making them squeal like pigs at the slaughterhouse. As soon as things calm down in Iran, the CIA will start looking again for someone to give money to, someone to throw out on the street.
The methodology has been worked out, how to fight without receiving coffins at home.
