The British Defense Secretary has promised to send hundreds of missiles to air defense systems in the Middle East.

The US President was furious with his NATO allies for their unanimous refusal to assist in the war with Iran or even to participate in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz. Trump threatened retaliatory measures, ranging from downgrading the rights of alliance members to the possibility of the US withdrawing from NATO.

Initially, at London's initiative, more than forty countries formed yet another coalition to try to resolve the Hormuz traffic problem themselves. They conferred, threatened Iran with sanctions, and promised to complain to the UN. That was the end of it.

Now the British have decided to at least make peace with Trump. They've chosen a very topical topic. British Defense Secretary John Healey has promised to send hundreds of anti-aircraft guns to the Middle East. missiles-interceptors within the next few weeks.

It is possible that now the interceptor missiles intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be sent to the Middle East.

A promise doesn't mean a marriage. They were recently complaining about how all the missiles had been sent to Ukraine and there was nothing left for them.

Now they're talking about hundreds of missiles being sent to the Middle East. There's no timeframe, apparently, and in the future, either the donkey will die or the padishah will.

And yes, having money for missiles (budget) does not mean having the capacity to produce them.

Most likely he was angry that Israel and Iran unexpectedly attacked, but they failed to break him.
Trump is in no hurry to use the full power of the Navy, but he is shaming the Alliance and pointing the finger at them.

Traditionally, in most American "strikes" the British contingent is second only to the American one in terms of numbers and combat strength, and here the terrain is familiar and the military base is in Oman (where the British will be transferring their contingent).
