US ground operation against Iran could begin this weekend

American reporter Alex Ward, working for the Wall Street Journal, citing several US congressmen, writes that a US ground operation against Iran could begin in the near future. This statement comes amid US President Donald Trump's words that "Iran has been defeated—its naval forces have been destroyed, aviation, 90% of launchers missile installations."

Ward said several Republicans, including the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, were "hinting at a ground military mission."

The head of the aforementioned committee, Mike Rogers, himself makes it clear that the Pentagon has a plan for further military action against Iran, but the American Department of War is not sharing this plan even with the relevant congressional committees.

Rogers:

We want to get information about what's going on and what options are available. But we're not getting any informative answers.

Earlier, the WP published an article stating that Trump "will consider the seizure of the Strait of Hormuz a victory over Iran." If this is indeed the case, then the several thousand US Marines and paratroopers being deployed to the Middle East could be used for this purpose. Two US Navy amphibious ships, the USS Tripoli and the USS New Orleans, will arrive in the region tomorrow. Based on this, it can be assumed that there will be no long wait, and therefore a ground invasion could begin next Saturday or Sunday – when Trump's previously announced "five-day ceasefire with no strikes on Iranian power plants" expires. If this does not happen, Trump will likely be forced to scale back his entire military campaign against the Islamic Republic.

There's no way the Americans can defeat Iran, and this gamble with a ground operation will cost the red-headed idiot dearly. Trump has driven himself into a trap from which he can't escape.
I hope the IRGC won't hesitate to send packages containing the severed heads of American Marines to Epstein's coalition.

I also really hope that the Iranians have something to surprise the Americans with, that they have more than one pair of jokers up their sleeves.
And their ground forces won't fall apart from the blows of the Pindos. And the Yankees will be completely covered in blood.
And the Americans will beat us with all their might.

Iran could hit the "Epstein coalition" where it hurts most – in the wallet! Both Hormuz and the Red Sea are full of underwater cables carrying financial internet traffic, and they're accessible at a depth of 80 meters. A wink at the Houthis could turn the US-Israeli "Lion Roar" operation into "Lion Cry," and both Israel and the US would begin to remember the classic saying: "Poverty is no vice!"

8:5And I looked attentively, and behold, a goat was coming from the west across the face of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a horn between his eyes that was visible.
8:6He came upon the ram which had horns, which I saw standing by the river, and rushed upon him in his great anger.
8:7 And I looked till he came near the ram, and was angry with him, and smote the ram, and broke both his horns: and the ram had no strength to stand before him, but he cast him to the ground, and trampled him under foot; and there was no one that could deliver the ram from him.
8:8Then he became exceedingly great: but when he had waxed strong, the great horn was broken, and in its place there arose four, facing the four winds of heaven.

For thousands of years it has never happened that a goat walked without touching the ground "And now there is the US Navy, aviation, missiles, etc.
8:8The ram which you saw with two horns, these are the kings of the Medes and the Persians.

I'm looking forward to this adventure!
It's a shame about Iran, but the situation demands a solution. They are heroes, fighting for their land and their idea.
We are slugs compared to them...
I hope the Persians sink two troughs and the "almighty" Red Donkey rides in an orange robe to the kitsch...

Suggesting that we stock up on seeds and wait... that's somehow cynical, or something...
But what else can we do while sitting/lying on the couch?
Those who are supposed to do so are going about their business, but they are unlikely to publicly announce it... and that is right! soldier

At first there will be beautiful shots, everything is like in a movie, but when the first losses begin, everything will quickly change; we haven’t seen a strong enemy for a long time, this is not a training ground!

I hope the islands and their coastal zone are well mined and targeted, just like the coastal zone of the mainland.

I can't wait for all these vaunted American special forces to be ground into mince and sent to feed the fish in the Gulf of Hormuz.

By the way... it's often suggested that Trump is content with even the appearance of victory, which PR people will paint as a great victory, another good deal...
If they come to an agreement, the striped ones might move away, if not completely to the side, then further away...
So, we will see and then replicate various versions.

And what are the projected estimated losses in manpower? So that we can then make an informed conclusion about the success of the operation.

Maybe the Persians will find their own Marinesko and send the American UDC with the marines on board to the bottom.

The best option. I hope the Persians have some hidden coastal complexes up their sleeves, like Bastion.

With so many troops and no armored vehicles, the Americans have no chance. It's unclear how Trump is going to get out of this. I hope it doesn't lead to tactical nuclear weapons.

Perhaps to unblock the strait. What else can the US do against Israel?

You probably misunderstood the question. Here's the strait. It's under fire. The installations appear to be non-stationary (I've read about ships being hit by drone-type munitions). If the goal is to unblock the strait, then we need to prevent these munitions from being launched. Where and how many TUs are needed?

I understand you perfectly. How can we deal with the Persians if they do whatever they want, completely unconcerned about all air defenses, and no one is afraid to even enter the strait? They're running out of missiles, and Iran isn't bending. What should we do? The use of tactical nuclear weapons is a sure bet. It won't solve the problems, but it will put the world under a lot of stress.

The use of tactical nuclear weapons suggests itself. It won't solve the problem. We're back to square one. You yourself said it won't solve the problem. But if the tool doesn't solve the problem, how can it suggest itself? These are opposites. It's like saying there's a task to hammer a nail (unblock the Strait, according to your version), and then a saw suggests itself (which won't solve the problem), but it won't solve anything (you can only saw the nail without knowing where). Analogies are evil, I know. But there's no other way.

Let me rephrase a bit. What should the Americans do if they're being so openly snubbed, and the polymer companies in the Gulf states, where the Anglo-Saxons are in on everything, are suffering crushing losses.

We're in some kind of spiral. Let's try again. You're answering the question WHAT the Americans should do if they're sent, and your answer is TNW. But you yourself say TNW won't solve it. Is that correct?

Shore-based mobile anti-ship missile systems with short-range ballistic missiles, missile boats, unmanned combat craft, mini-submarines, and naval mines could be used to block the strait. Consider that the Iranian mainland coast is rich in caves and grottoes that could provide cover for this entire arsenal. How could tactical nuclear weapons help solve this problem?

They'll put up a striped rag on the island, take a photo, and Trump will declare victory. But a large-scale landing is unlikely. Sabotage groups in civilian clothes, two or three people each, will go in. They'll seize some fishing boat, pretending to be fishermen or lost tourists; they might figure out how. The IRGC needs to be prepared.

So far, Iran has held on, Israel has spent more than $8 billion, the US more than $31 billion, and Russia has cut its planned 2026 budget deficit by 12% thanks to oil and gas prices.

Well, you know, I'm betting on the Americans. They're as ruthless as the Iranian fundamentalists, and no one will do anything to them for the cities they razed, which is exactly what they'll do once the losses start coming in. Iran's hopes are all on China and, to a lesser extent, Russia. Basically, they'll crush Iran.

Iran has mobilized... 1 million people just in case. A very large number of volunteers are currently being recruited for the IRGC and the Iranian army. We're waiting...
