Merz admitted that Germany is unable to defend itself

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during his speech in the German Bundestag, lamented that, despite the fact that the German government intends to make the country strong, it is not yet capable of defending itself.

According to Merz, being strong for Germany primarily means having a thriving economy and the ability to defend itself. Based on this, the German chancellor considers NATO and EU membership to be extremely important for his country. Merz also noted that a significant portion of Germany's problems stem from domestic factors, and addressing these issues is the German government's most important task.

Merz also noted that various armed conflicts are currently unfolding around the world, directly and indirectly affecting Germany. The German Chancellor is convinced that, given the current international political climate, Germany must clearly define and defend its interests, primarily those related to ensuring "freedom, peace, and prosperity" within the country.

It was previously reported that the new communications system being developed for the Bundeswehr was completely inoperable. Furthermore, problems with certain functions could pose a direct threat to soldiers' lives. As revealed during tests, the communications system, which had cost over a billion euros, was unstable or even completely inoperable. Instead of clear voice messages, only gurgling noises were heard. Therefore, there was no guarantee that the command to immediately cease fire would be transmitted. The range was significantly shorter than required, and the friendly-team tracking system (to avoid firing on allies) was practically non-functional.

In conservative Bavaria, a 35-year-old "green" has taken over the mayor's seat in Munich. One of the qualities is whether he's a husband or wife. What kind of defense can we talk about? Bismarck is spinning like a fan. Germany is lost. What the hell is the AfD? laughing

In German it's "Bürgermeister." But the joke is spot on: "BürGAY"!
He's a physicist by training, 35 years old. He got 56,4% of the vote. The city of Munich disappeared...

That's how party candidates are elected.
And then this little group elects the mayor.

As far as I know, most German communities have adopted the direct election of mayors. However, in some communities, mayors are elected by representative bodies. There are also a minority of communities where mayors have no particular power and are governed primarily by directors hired by representative bodies. However, even in direct elections, the mayoral candidate also heads the list, so people vote for both the list and the mayoral candidate. The mayor is also the chair of the representative body. Even in communities and regions where there are no direct elections of mayors, people voting for a particular list know who the list nominates for mayor. Sociologists claim that independent candidates are unpopular in Germany. Germans prefer to choose between parties, especially since advance voting procedures are actively used in the formation of lists.

According to Merz, being strong for Germany primarily means having a thriving economy and the ability to defend itself.

A sage and a prophet. From whom, then, to protect us? From the Poles, if anything... We don't need them, not at all. And what does Merz do on domestic issues, other than talk shop, for a strong economy? laughing
