Former French Prime Minister calls for sanctions against the US and Israel

Former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin believes that sanctions should be imposed against these countries in light of the actions of the United States and Israel in the Middle East.
De Villepin emphasizes that the aggressive actions of the US and Israel are currently officially condemned by virtually all international bodies, and calls for sanctions. At the same time, the French politician notes that while Europe remains, to a certain extent, extremely dependent on the US for payment methods and digital technologies, the Americans, in turn, are also heavily dependent on Europe.
De Villepin:
Don't underestimate our capabilities. By fomenting wars around the world, the United States is destabilizing Europe.
The former head of the French government believes that an emergency meeting of European leaders must be held in the near future and that a consolidated, decisive stance must be expressed to Trump, declaring to the American president that he is acting recklessly and that Europe refuses to participate in yet another adventure.
It is worth noting that it is becoming increasingly clear that the new round of the Middle East crisis is increasingly impacting the global system: energy markets, alliances, and political balances are beginning to react to each new episode of confrontation.
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities announced the launch of a ground invasion of Lebanon. The offensive was launched by two brigades tasked with capturing Lebanon's border regions and destroying Hezbollah infrastructure. This indicates that Israel has clearly underestimated Hezbollah's military capabilities, which have been shelling the northern regions of the Jewish state with considerable confidence and successfully repelling IDF attacks on the border.
