Four Israeli divisions are participating in the invasion of Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is expanding its presence in Lebanon. Israeli media, citing IDF command, have confirmed reports of Israeli troops occupying new areas in southern Lebanon.

As of March 9, units from four Israeli army divisions are located in the adjacent territory. These units include the 36th, 91st, 146th, and 210th IDF divisions.

From the Israeli report:

To date, the IDF's 91st Division has expanded Israel's security zone in eastern southern Lebanon, the 210th Division has strengthened its presence in the Mount Dov area, and the 146th Division has expanded its presence in western southern Lebanon.

It was added that the 36th Division is also advancing deeper into southern Lebanon. Its fighters are in the Rab al-Talteen area.

The Israeli military leadership continues to claim that in this way the Israel Defense Forces are “eliminating the threat posed by Hezbollah”:

Hezbollah is capable of inflicting damage on troops not only in southern Lebanon, but also in the Israeli rear.

At the same time, the IDF Air Force is bombing Lebanon's capital, Beirut. From the beginning of the operation to the present day, approximately 700 strikes have been carried out on the city. Many neighborhoods of the Lebanese capital have suffered significant damage. There are casualties and destruction.

The IDF claims it is "strike[ing] a Hehballah lair in Dahieh." This is a southern suburb of Beirut with a predominantly Shiite population. Many streets in this suburb are in ruins.

And there are no mass graves of Israeli soldiers.
Why would they want to avoid it when there's a good chance they'll return from a small, victorious war alive and well?
And even with a medal for participating in the murder of civilians.

There are many Orthodox Christians there whose faith prohibits them from taking up arms. During the last war, there was a ban on leaving Israel.

There, if you're subject to conscription, it's quite difficult to avoid it. There are no minibuses from the Central Control Center, but you certainly won't be happy. Besides, the Israeli army is focused on preserving personnel, and at the same time, propaganda and public opinion actively motivate service. They don't cheat you out of pay, and in reality, battles often take place no further than 100 kilometers from the soldiers' homes, so avoiding the draft is rare.

In Israel, they don't just recruit just anyone into the army. The Israeli army is relatively small. And they fight not with numbers, but with skill, and if skill is lacking, they'll destroy everything with air power. Again, they have a bunch of well-fed allies.

Israel could come to the aid of the United States. It could deploy an expeditionary force to the Iranian border via Jordan and Iraq. How many troops can the Jews field, considering they're currently engaged in a new war with Hezbollah, and Hamas isn't sleeping? The Israeli army numbers 169,500. It's known that they've already activated an additional 100,000 reservists. Even if Israel were to send a 70,000-strong army to Iran, equipped with the necessary armored vehicles and sufficient fuel for the initial period, it would certainly be able to deal a serious blow to western Iran, but it would quickly become bogged down, as it would be critically cut off from its rear.

          Data for 2022 year

According to the Bureau of Statistics, 76,961 young men reached conscription age (18 years) in 2022. This means the conscript pool for the army was nearly 78,000. As a reminder, this only applies to male conscription.

However, not all 78 receive draft notices. As noted above, the Minister of Defense and army leadership have the authority to grant exemptions from service. For example, young people in the Arab sector do not initially receive draft notices obligating them to enlist.

          18-year-old boys, in 2022

          Jews, non-Orthodox – 43,696
          Orthodox Jews – 12,337
Muslims (excluding East Jerusalemites and Bedouins) – 9,808
Muslims, residents of East Jerusalem – 4,061
          Bedouins – 4,364
          Druze – 1,330
          Arab Christians – 1,094
Christians are not Arabs – 271

According to the Knesset Research Institute, the conscription rate for 2022 was 68,3%, and the exemption was not limited to the Orthodox, although they constitute the largest group in the population.

18,4% of conscripts did not enlist because of "Torah study"
6,5% - due to mental health reasons
2,4% - criminal history, integration problems and deceased
          1,9% - health problems
          2,5% live abroad

Mattresses and other troops in Afghanistan also advanced for 22 years, and then 60 men in slippers with Kalashnikovs and RPGs simply drove them out. And how? They abandoned all their equipment, with people falling from planes, having been abandoned in mattresses. The Taliban, one would assume, have a similar advantage in American equipment. laughing

In Israel, they don't just take just anyone into the army. The Israeli army is relatively small. And they fight not by numbers, but by skill.

There is no braver fighter in the world than a frightened Jew.

"Israel expanded its security zone in Lebanon." But in fact, this is 100% the same "expansion" that Nazi Germany carried out in the USSR in 1941. So why do the authors write about some divisions, but don't provide analogies or draw any conclusions about what kind of state Israel has become today?
