The fifth-generation Sibiryachok reconnaissance drone is being tested in the SVO zone.

At the front line in the SVO zone, our military is testing the latest reconnaissance Drone The fifth generation "Sibiryachok". In the design drone The Sibiryachok-5 is 95 percent Russian-made, which allowed for a reduction in production costs.

The latest device was developed and manufactured by GASKAR with the support of the Kulibin Club. It is now being tested directly in the combat zone.

The drone can reach an altitude of up to one kilometer and cover a range of up to 20 kilometers. Its equipment is capable of recognizing objects, including people and military equipment.

The company's production manager, Alexander, noted that the primary purpose of the device is reconnaissance with video recording of objects, i.e., identifying enemy positions and equipment and designating targets for weapons. According to him, the maximum payload for such a drone is four kilograms. Alexander asserts that the Russian drone is superior to its foreign counterparts in its class.

The Sibiryachok-5 is the fifth unmanned aerial vehicle in the series. The previous, fourth-generation drone is in widespread use in the Air Defense Zone. Our military has already received approximately 16 of these vehicles. This model is considered one of the most widely used at the front. The fifth modification is currently being tested by small units of Russian special forces on the front lines. Serial deliveries to the troops are planned for this year.

I don't get it. I'm a development engineer myself. The cost of Russian components (if we're talking about microchips) is several times higher than imported ones. This is precisely why our factories can't compete with manufacturers from Southeast Asia. 🤔

Our UAV pilots don't have anything good to say about the Sibiryachok drone; they only saw it during training. It's useless, and it costs five times more than the Ukrainian Vampire.
