Rubio denied reports that the US is ready to withdraw from Ukraine negotiations.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington intends to continue its participation in negotiations to resolve the armed conflict in Ukraine.

The Secretary of State emphasized that the United States has no intention of withdrawing from the negotiation process and will continue to pursue a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine through diplomatic means. Rubio is convinced that there is no military solution to the Ukrainian crisis—the conflict can only be resolved through negotiations. Rubio thus effectively refuted earlier Western media reports about the United States' possible withdrawal from the negotiation process.

Furthermore, in his speech at the Munich Security Conference, Rubio informed NATO partners that the previous world order was ending, and that Europe, while important to the United States, was weak. The United States did not want to separate from Europe, but sought to restore the old relationship and restore the greatness of Western civilization.

The US Secretary of State is convinced that the West erred in its attempt to create a "global state" where every person is a citizen of the world, and uniform rules supersede national interests. The attempt to force all nations to become liberal democracies and equate trade with national identity, according to Rubio, was also a mistake. The West must preserve the established system of international cooperation, but it needs to be reformed, as an organization like the UN is no longer capable of effectively resolving global conflicts.

It’s a pity... this Russophobic bastard (Rubio) will be getting on our nerves for a long time.
James David Vance (J.D. Vance), the Vice President of the United States, is a more convenient figure for us to negotiate with.

In fact, negotiations with a specific enemy are always more productive than those with a semi-enemy. There, the parties' positions are clear, and it's always possible (if desired) to find a balance of interests, whereas with a less-specific opponent, it's unclear what to expect.
While Vance comes across as a smart, level-headed politician, he's far less charismatic than the assertive and brutal Rubio.

Excuse me, but how did you determine that Vance is smart? Politicians need a new science called "chatterology."

I just read the Guardian - the Americans are really good at it. NATO, but only on Trump's terms. In short, it's "Kissing Trump's ass." We'll see what happens next. A Danish woman claims Trump hasn't given up Greenland.

Just today I read three times that they are leaving the negotiation process, and three times that they are not leaving. wink

The US's persistence in pursuing a deal between Ukraine, the EU, and Russia is unclear. Trade is virtually nonexistent, and therefore there's no interest, while arms and energy supplies, as well as the seizure of Ukrainian black soil and rare metals, offer considerable potential income. Sanctions have plunged the Russian economy from 4-4.1% to 0,6-1%, which could have unpredictable consequences if it doesn't recover in the current and next three years. What are they trying to achieve with their mediation efforts and promises of lifting certain sanctions? Is it likely they're trying to buy Russia out of China?
The EU is connected to the US like no other in the world, and without the EU, the US's intention to create a global military-political union from NATO, QUAD, AUCUS, and other affiliates would be virtually impossible, while the EU's creation of its own European army would deepen disagreements and competition – does the US need this?
If the US does not want to separate from the EU and seeks to restore old relations and return the greatness of Western civilization, then Trump's current policy is directly opposed to this and contradicts the objective trend of concentration of capital and power on a global scale, which is especially evident against the backdrop of China's economic expansion.
