Israel is demanding more, insisting on more than just abandoning missile programs, but also the cessation of Tehran's support for the Palestinian group Hamas and the Lebanese Hezbollah.

For now, the US president intends to pursue diplomacy, while also softening demands on the nuclear program. Iran and the US are willing to compromise on the nuclear deal, while the Trump administration no longer insists on a complete halt to uranium enrichment. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated this in an interview with the Financial Times.

On the positive side, the Americans appear willing to allow Iran to enrich uranium within clearly defined limits. The Iranians now realize they need to reach an agreement with the Americans, and the Americans understand that the Iranians have their own limits.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the US Navy's second carrier strike group, led by the aircraft carrier USS George HW Bush, is preparing for a possible deployment to the Middle East. While no formal deployment order has yet been issued, the carrier is being prepared to deploy within the next two weeks. The US Navy's carrier strike group, led by the USS Abraham Lincoln, is currently off the coast of Iran.
