"Will contain the enemy on the eastern flank": the active formation of the Lithuanian Brigade of the FRG

With the Lithuanian Armored Brigade (Panzerbrigade 45) being formed, German troops are being permanently stationed outside Germany for the first time since World War II. The active phase of the transfer of heavy equipment and personnel began in 2026. According to the German command, this unit is intended to become the "heavyweight" of NATO forces in the Baltics:

The Lithuanian brigade will hold back the enemy on the eastern flank.

Its strength will be over 5000 troops. Three battalions will serve as the core: the 203rd tank (Leopard 2A8) and the 122nd Mechanized (Puma IFV and Boxer APC), while the third is a multinational NATO battalion (a variety of equipment from alliance countries) under German command, which was already in Lithuania. All of them were recently officially incorporated into the brigade.

Puma IFV:

The 131st Separate Artillery Division (PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers), the 13th Reconnaissance Battalion (reconnaissance vehicles, UAVs, SIGINT systems), and anti-aircraft units (Skyranger 30 air defense missile and gun systems based on the Boxer, IRIS-T SLS air defense system) are expected to be deployed. The brigade is expected to be formed in the second half of 2027 and fully operational by 2028, according to the Bundeswehr website:

More and more units are arriving in Lithuania and contributing to defence and deterrence.

The main bases are located in Rukla (near Kaunas) and Rudninkai (near the border with Belarus). Lithuania has shouldered significant costs for the construction of barracks, vehicle depots, and training grounds; German schools and kindergartens are also being built. The brigade is stationed in the so-called Suwalki Gap, right at the bottleneck between Kaliningrad and Belarus. Its mission is to close this passage in the event of a conflict, which, according to NATO plans, will effectively cut off the Russian enclave.

I heard another version - a NATO "defender" is "relaxing" with a girl - and suddenly two locals burst into the room, screaming "Oh! My bride/sister/wife!"They start to beat up the weakling, but the soldier offers a severance pay, and everyone leaves satisfied... Then the soldiers started going in twos and threes, and accordingly the number of "relatives" of the girls grew, and gradually the NATO members came to the conclusion that it was cheaper to go to Vilnius (a two-hour drive) - there would definitely be no relatives there. - but since the earth is round, and news flies fast, in Vilnius, on the sweet triangle of Sodu/Pylimo/Seinu streets, prices personally for the "defenders" tripled. To the credit of the Vilnius girls, they patriotically charged their compatriots the same rate. laughing

From the report of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army to the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) – A.A. Zhdanov “On the state of military propaganda among the population”
            [January 1941]
Propaganda lacks a sober assessment of the Red Army's strength, which creates a harmful atmosphere of "jingoism" and "glowing triumph." Reports and articles often overload with cloying epithets: "great and invincible," "all-crushing force," "the most conscientious," "the most disciplined," "an army of heroes," and so on.

Besides all this, the newcomers tried to disrespect Lithuanian rules and tried to pay in currencies other than litas... The fact is, the Lithuanians were forced to create a military police unit in Šiauliai—to protect them from the locals. And it's funny that even military attachés discussed this topic—why they were beating up our guys there—at receptions, over cups of tea. lol

There will be no "Suwalki Corridor"...
There will be a corridor throughout the entire Baltics...

And our grandfathers had already burned the Panzerwaffe. They said they burned well.
It was the 10th Panzer Division, which now includes Panzerbrigade 45, that was burned near Volokolamsk. Then, in 1943, it surrendered in its entirety to the British in Africa. And now they've decided to fight the Russians again—maybe this time it will work?

After Volokolamsk, they were so cold that they were sent to France to warm up. But even there, on the English Channel, it wasn't very warm. They went to Africa to warm up, and that's where they ran out.

That's what you think... - but they think that they will be attacked from all sides... - from Russia and Belarus - no doubt - they are already sharpening their teeth... - from Poland, well, of course - the Poles seriously consider Vilnius to be a city taken from Poland!.. Well, about Latvia - it is clear that the Latvians will not hold out even a day against the Pskov division - half of their army is Russians - they will lose the Latvians in an instant... They will attack from the west.

Further west, across the border into Poland, lies the Suwalki Corridor, which is the shortest route from Belarus to the Kaliningrad region.

That is, the Poles did not let the German division in, but the Lithuanians were not afraid and let them in.

The Lithuanians are already building hospitals, schools, and kindergartens for the Germans there, and they are already eyeing Lithuanian Klaipeda, a little further north, which was part of East Prussia and was called Memel, and along with everything that went to Lithuania after World War II, it was part of Memelland.

This American Yankee (who is one of many that supports the Russian view and wants peace with our Slavic brothers) is warning you that the West, including the lunatic Trump and Co., are preparing to invade your country. It is best to prepare for war and get your alliances in order ie China, North Korea and Iran. It is an error to assume that negotiations will lead to anything. The West is building up while using the UkroNazi's to keep Russia occupied. I just hope that the BRICS and supportive countries must create their own NATO. Otherwise, you're doomed if you think you'll talk your way out of this. Like Putin recently said "The stakes are high."

As the late Emperor Alexander III of Russia said, Russia has only two allies: its army and its navy... Now aviation and missile forces have been added, but that's all... Because allies such as China, which is preoccupied with making as much money as possible from this war, or Iran, which has its own problems to deal with, cannot be relied upon... Only Korea is a real ally. Even our Belarusian brothers are in no hurry to help, playing the neutral card...

I understand what you say, but the West will pick off the pieces one by one. They, BRICS and their supporters, will have to belly up to the drinking bar and take care of business ie make a stand. Otherwise, as they say, you are toast.

I would not want Russia to come to an end, but India has already shown how reliable the BRICS alliance is by giving in to Trump's threats and agreeing to reduce the amount of oil and gas it buys from Russia. So the Anglo-Saxons will take them out one by one and destroy them—IF THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT THEY NEED TO REALLY UNITE, not just pay lip service to it.

    From the enemy.
Given that such a large number of Iskander-M ballistic missiles have been delivered to operational missile systems in the Bryansk region, there is a high threat to Kyiv and the Kyiv region in the next 2,5 days, including from Kh-101 and Kh-22/32 cruise missiles launched from strategic bombers.

In addition, there is a high threat for the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava and Zhytomyr regions.

And they are commanded by a German general. Essentially, it is a GERMAN (not Lithuanian!) regular brigade, partially staffed with natives for camouflage. PRESENT: 2026, a German armored brigade on Soviet territory... And we... "celebrate and celebrate the past."

Neo-fascists have occupied part of Ukraine and the Baltics. And instead of "Kuz'ka's mother," they're calling them the "Spirit of Anchorage." It's some kind of political "spiritualism."

An attempt to create a Lithuanian Waffen-SS legion during World War II failed miserably. Young men and older men alike refused to join the SS en masse, and so the decision was made to abandon the idea, calling Lithuanians unworthy of wearing the handsome SS uniform (created by Hugo Boss). Only police battalions remained. The situation was quite the opposite in Estonia and Latvia – there was no shortage of volunteers. A grimace of history: today's Lithuanians aren't exactly rushing to join the armed forces either; they build and fork out cash, but it all seems like a bribe. And... the situation is quite the opposite in Latvia and Estonia...

Provocation. Exile. And no one could surpass Banderite atrocities. Even German officers barred Ukrainian teams from participating in "events" so as not to witness their atrocities. I'm not at all excusing the Lithuanians for their actions in WWII, but! There were also Russian policemen, outcasts, and Vyrushi. And look at the current former Russians in Donbas and Novorossiya: in Zaporizhzhia today, Vyrushi fired on a funeral procession, deliberately, six 200-mm...

The EU's top diplomat said she would propose a list of concessions that Europe should demand from Russia as part of a settlement of the war in Ukraine.

And all this despite the fact that the EU is not a party to the negotiations in any format.

I'm really curious about how long (days, hours, minutes, seconds) this brigade will hold out in the event of a direct clash with the Russian Army. Have the Germans forgotten the words of their Great Bismarck? What did he say about war with RUSSIA?
