The Ghost of February

The Ghost of February
British satirical magazine Punch, 1905. Drawing illustrating the loss of prestige of the Russian Empire after the country's defeat. The hourglass represents the decline of Russia's prestige

If only there was no war, if only there was no war
If only there was no war, oh-oh-oh
If only there was no war, if only there was no war
If only there was no war, oh-oh-oh

We agree to live in dorms, we don't need anything.
And we are happy with any life, if only war doesn’t come
And the people don't care.

War. Gaza Strip

History repeats itself

As the great Russian historian Vasily Klyuchevsky noted: “History “Not a teacher, but a supervisor who teaches nothing, but severely punishes for not knowing her lessons.”

The lessons of the past must be remembered. Not just the wars, the number of soldiers, ships, and tanksAnd about the conceptual, civilizational, cultural, and informational millennial confrontation between East and West. Rus'-Russia versus the collective West.

Westerners and liberals may tell the tale a thousand times over that Russia is merely the cultural and economic periphery of the Western world, of European civilization. But the fact is that the Russian world is a separate civilization, a world. With a matrix-code of social justice, the truth, and the ethics of conscience. With an alternative project for a world order based on justice.

Hence the West's constant attempts to dismember and crush Rus', to solve the "Russian question." To destroy the Russian super-ethnos, turning it into ethnographic material. Like today's "Ukrainians," ready to "leave their native land, mother Ukraine, even as a stuffed animal or a carcass." They would become Poles, Germans, Canadians, or Americans, just to forget their homeland and the Russian language.

It's always a systemic confrontation: Rus' versus the Crusaders, the Romans, the Swedes, the Prussians, the French, the British, and the Americans. All wars are systemic in nature and are repeated by yet another Western "crusade" against Rus' whenever they forget the power of the Russian Ber-Bear or Finist the Bright Falcon (the two most ancient cults of the Rus'—Ber-Veles and Falcon-Rod, dating back thousands of years).

Russia's rulers, who don't know about this or don't want to know, are falling into a conceptual trap. They say that their cheatedThey tricked us, and didn't accept us into NATO: "We offered everything we had. We thought we were one of our own, 'bourgeois,' we wanted to be part of this family of so-called civilized nations. And I threw my line at NATO—let's consider us."

As a result, today's Russia has fallen into a conceptual ambush. First, it intervened in Syria without the military-economic capabilities or strategic communications to connect its bases there with the Russian Federation. Then it fell into the Ukrainian trap, which had been in the making for decades. It had transformed the Little Russians-Ukrainians (the southern part of the Rus super-ethnos) into a shock corps of "Russian Janissaries." Rus who don't consider themselves Russian, but retain their fighting spirit and moral and volitional qualities. The only people on the planet willing to fight head-on. The result: a new Ruin, a Wild Field instead of Novorossiya and Malorossiya. A fratricidal massacre.

Russia's strategic loneliness. Economic degradation and stagnation, the closure of global markets, technological backwardness. The hunt for trade fleet Russia. Enormous demographic losses among the Russian super-ethnos (including the Little Russians). Morale is depleted: money, theft ("one man's war, another man's mother"), and only tactical successes at the front. Disillusionment among the elite and the bourgeoisie, who want to return to the way things were before 2014, or at least until 2022.

Pressure from the collective West and American Emperor Trump, forcing Russia into a shady peace. The result is a new perestroika, February, and chaos.

History lessons

At one point, Tsar Nicholas II allowed the Russian Empire to be drawn into a war with Japan, backed by Britain and the United States. While the Russians and Japanese had no critical differences, unlike the Russians and French at the beginning of the 19th century, they fought to the death to the delight of our other Western "partners." A civilized agreement with the Japanese over Korea and northeastern China (Manchuria—Yellow Russia) was possible.

However, St. Petersburg greatly underestimated the "Japanese macaques" and ended up with Port Arthur, Mukden, Tsushima, and half of Sakhalin. A revolution in Russia nearly descended into general unrest and complete chaos.

The British executed their Far Eastern game brilliantly. Russia fell into the arms of the Entente. The French and British were able to fight the Germans "to the last Russian soldier," simultaneously turning Russia into a cash cow. At the same time, the Russian and German empires had no fundamental differences; they were natural strategic allies against the "enlightened" France and Britain, backed by American capital.

They didn't even learn the military lessons of the Japanese campaign. That a war of attrition requires enormous ammunition reserves. After all, they believed in a quick war, a march on Berlin. As a result, they also failed to modernize the fortresses in the western strategic direction. The firepower of infantry divisions was not increased.artillery, machine guns and mortars). Only the fleet was able to be restored, having relatively solved the problem of defense from the sea in the Baltic and Black Sea.

The Anglophile and Francophile parties within the Russian Imperial elite were delighted. "The West will help us!" And at the right moment, Britain, France, and the United States, through their agents and diplomats, orchestrated the February Revolution. The result was the Russian Time of Troubles. The collapse of a great power, of an entire civilizational project. The Bolsheviks barely managed to save the state and the people, but at the cost of enormous losses and much bloodshed.

It all began in 1904, when they first allowed themselves to be drawn into a war the state and the country didn't need. Then they didn't use all the empire's resources – "The Fatherland is in danger!" – and ended up with the obscene Portsmouth."Under current conditions, it is impossible to end the war. It is a disgrace."). They flew into the Entente, and received an even more terrible and bloody war in 1914-1917 and the most brutal Time of Troubles.

And in 1904, we had a choice: either we strain ourselves, send well-wishers from France and America packing, and finish off Japan, or accept defeat. We made the wrong choice: we gave in. The result was the carnage of World War I, when the Russians fought the Germans for the interests of London, Paris, and Washington. Revolution and the Great Troubles.

When a major war is raging, as part of a systemic confrontation between East (the Russian World) and West, there's no room for concession or acquiescence. Mistakes and false humanism are very costly. Nicholas II suffered his own personal Calvary, destroying his empire, his autocracy, and his family. These are the lessons of history. You can't trust wolves in sheep's clothing. The law of the jungle rules the planet.

Kukryniksy. Soviet poster for the 20th anniversary of the February Revolution.
February came with workers' anger,
With the age-old pain of the peasant.
Trembling with the beast's belly,
The autocratic system collapsed.
The Tsar from the Overturned Throne
He fell head over heels, screaming.
The royal crown has fallen
An empty, broken pot.

What I agree with is that the specter of February 1917 truly looms before our Motherland. Our leadership is confidently leading us toward it, and instead of completely defeating the 404th, it constantly reins in our soldiers and engages in futile negotiations with the West and Bandera terrorists. There's no certainty that it's defending the interests of our country and people, or hasn't embarked on a path of defeatism and betrayal. With this "elite," defeat and further collapse await us!

Just remember that in 1917, Russia had no nuclear power plants or nuclear arsenal. What might happen now, if, in a climate of lawlessness and anarchy, the security and operation of such facilities is disrupted? And who might control all of this, with all the ensuing consequences?

It's impossible to be "the most powerful" with a population of 145 million and a virtually nonexistent manufacturing industry. Moreover, one follows from the other. Economy and demographics are closely interrelated. It has long been calculated that at least 300 million people are necessary for a functioning economy and the normal, progressive development of a country.

France and Germany can't be assessed separately; they're all parts of the EU. It's like assessing the RSFSR and the Ukrainian SSR separately in the USSR. They share the same economy, after all.

But in Japan, recently, for about 15-20 years now, things have not been very good and are heading towards stagnation.

Your arguments and figures are correct, these countries do not have 300 million and have an economy better than ours, many times better... However, these countries are in unions, alliances, strong unions and alliances, or have powerful patrons, so they do not necessarily have to have so many people individually... But we are practically in splendid isolation (all sorts of BRICS and CIS do not have real economic and political power), therefore this figure is relevant for us, it seems to determine a self-sufficient sales market... in the case of various sanctions or embargoes... that's how to say it more correctly

      The problem of choice...
On the one hand, there is virtually no industry of its own, the economy is at a standstill, the great energy power only produced oil - in accordance with development plans.
On the other hand, we can only talk about any strategic achievements and a long-term solution to at least most of the problems by taking the Black Sea coast.
      And how to fight?
The result is that we're bombarding Ukraine with missiles—something we should have done BEFORE the first offensive. And we hope they'll agree to everything.
So here's the choice: hope that in another 2-3 years we won't destroy the economy and will crawl to Odessa - or Minsk, Istanbul... a little territory and at least try to convince OUR population of the greatest victory.
Because the rest of the world sees and understands everything perfectly.

I wonder if Putin has learned any lessons from the history of the Russian Empire in the early 20th century? Doesn't he see obvious parallels? The betrayal of the elites within his immediate circle, the decay of the ruling elite, and the unwillingness to listen to the masses and heed their aspirations. Nicholas II also thought the February 1917 bread riot was just a rebellion. Well, well...

Several articles by different authors have already written about the ESSENCE in the prologues! And they state that the ESSENCE is that the Russian world, which is this ESSENCE, is a separate civilization, a separate, entire world!!! And that's all there is to the articles. The rest of the article is either fear of the code, or fear of censorship, or fear of the editor's wrath—but the philosophical, visual aid portion of the articles ends with the statement that the ESSENCE of everything for Russia is and should be the Russian world. But the ESSENCE is, after all, the foundation, the most important thing, the self, the core, the guts, the nature, the soul, the strength, the center!!!
It would seem that here you have, author, a whole world, a whole separate civilization, this is such a topic that the development, philosophy, formation, millennium, suffering, victories, heredity, metaphysics, spirit and soul of this Russian world should be devoted not just to a few timidly modest lines, but to entire full, extensive articles in general.
When they write about the threat to the Russian world primarily coming from Western civilization, the author shouldn't see such confessions about the Russian world as a pile of sand where an ostrich can conveniently hide its head to avoid seeing how the rest is being hammered not by the enemies of the Russian world from the West, but by the enemies of the Russian world from within Russia itself. Just two examples. First: It wasn't the West that banned, stopped, extinguished, and froze for eternity the Russian Spring in 2014.
Second. Just drive through Russia's main cities. After all, if not for the churches and palaces built under the Tsars and Emperors, then even in St. Petersburg, the pearl of this entire world, there was nothing to see. It's so good that at least these remained intact and not destroyed. But the 40,000 churches and temples, these citadels of the Russian world, were blown up or destroyed in peacetime, not by Westerners, but by local, homegrown ones!

I think the reason for the non-disclosure of the ESSENCE of the Russian world is painfully simple - it has not yet been revealed at the top, so it is scary to deduce the essence ourselves, in case we have to renounce our words and ideas and urgently rethink them in line with the general party line.
So, there most likely never has been, never will be, and never will be a conspiracy with evil editors.

Apparently, there's no intention of revealing it "at the top." According to some sources (Kirill Kabanov, several Telegram channels), the Presidential Administration is seriously considering only one development doctrine for the country: Eurasianism, Hordeism, and Islamization. They say we are the heirs not of Rus', but of the Horde. And, in general, the Russian Federation is part of the Islamic world. This is understandable: if Russians are dying out, then why fight it? Better to change our ways and adopt a new identity. The Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs (FANA), Igor Barinov's agency, promotes the idea of a "Russian nation" as a synthesis, where the Russian ethnic group is just one of 190. Without any state-forming status. (The subtext: more migrants need to be brought into the Russian Federation and "horded" them.) The emphasis is on "harmony of nations" and the fight against "ethnonationalism." Eurasianism, as interpreted by Dugin, has seemingly been tacked onto all this. I can't vouch for the complete veracity of this, but current events bear a striking resemblance to this "cunning plan." We have lived side by side with Muslims—the indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation—for centuries. We know how to get along with them. But Russia is the heir not of the Horde, but of Kievan-Novgorod Rus' and the Russian centralized state! Playing with identity is dangerous. And, gentlemen, if you want to turn the Russian Federation into some kind of quasi-Horde, where Russians are not the state-forming people, then the elite here will be completely different. You will be "asked" to leave and disposed of. And even those Tajiks and Uzbeks who are moving to the Russian Federation certainly don't consider the Horde their project. They recall Khorezm, Sogdiana, the Samanid kingdom, or the empire of Timur-Tamerlane. And some have embraced the idea of an Islamist caliphate. So these latest "cunning plans" could end in disaster. Original source: M. Kalashnikov, https://vk.com/wall-94475504_28759

It's very similar to the 905th, but the key conditions are missing. The circumstances are such that enemies of our people and country have been in power since the late 80s. Today, the notorious, decrepit "vertical" consists of the same people who betrayed and sold out their homeland, who broke their oath and easily discarded all moral standards, etc. They are essentially market-level hucksters, secondary and extremely dependent on external control, essentially a colonial administration, and, to put it mildly, with very mediocre intellectual potential. Expecting any progress and development from them, a creative and adequate approach to resolving current critical issues, and strategic planning, is extremely naive. Their only achievements are the creation of a class-based society, divided by a chasm of moral and ethical worldviews, access to the means of production, etc., against the backdrop of the destruction of the education and upbringing systems. They have formed several generations of victorious people, creative and well-rounded creators, "advanced consumers," without ideology or moral principles, where the primary criterion for measuring everything, spiritual and material, is money. Their personnel policy, bordering on idiocy, based on nepotism, loyalty, and criminality, where experience, any achievements, and professionalism are negligible, also becomes clear. Lacking any special talent or intellect, in decisions on both political and so-called business matters, they resort to liquidation and prohibition using administrative resources ("exercises" in governing countries—the recent so-called "pandemic"). Another missing condition is the systematic and targeted destruction of all extra-systemic political activity, the replacement of democratic procedures and institutions with their imitation, and attempts to replace ideology with some mythical ties and surrogates of religion. Hence, the encouragement of Islamization as a "young" and active force, especially among the most aggressive movements, in the absence of any youth policy on the part of the state. The issue is vast and impossible to fully explore and discuss in a few brief comments.

The reasons for 1917 were written about back in 1915.

To you, living for an orgy orgy,
having a bath and warm toilet!
Shame on you about submitting to George
read from the columns of newspapers?
    Do you know, talentless, many,
thinking how to get drunk is better, -
    maybe now footbomb
    Petrova ransomed lieutenant? ..
If he, brought to the slaughter,
    suddenly saw wounded
how do you smear a lip in a meatball
    lustfully sing a northerner!
Do you like women yes dishes
    give life to please?
I'd rather be in a fucking bar
    serve pineapple water!

Well, since we've mentioned V.O. Klyuchevsky, it would be appropriate to quote:
The great Klyuchevsky devotes a great deal of space to economics in his course on Russian history, especially since he sees the very essence of the Russian system:
“the state was understood not as a people’s union, governed by a supreme power, but as a sovereign economy...
Therefore... the purpose of the state was subordinated to the dynastic interests of the landowner, and the law itself had the character of an economic regulation... establishing the order of the activities of the subordinate... the order of fulfilling various state duties by the inhabitants."
And here, like a red thread, Klyuchevsky has this idea: the ambitions of the administration significantly exceeded the ability of the national economy to pay for these ambitions, hence the eternal problem with the distribution of resources, which took the form of cutting out "Trishkin's caftan"; the chronic lack of capital could be compensated either by using natural rent - or by putting a burden on labor, and limiting consumption.
Therefore, Klyuchevsky holds the key to forecasting the development of the Russian economy: the lack of "rent" will be compensated for by an increase in tax collections, since the government "does not understand the issue of coordinating its expenditure with the people's paying power" and looks "at the Russian taxpayer with the most cheerful gaze, assuming in him an inexhaustible supply of all kinds of tax payments."

I still hope that the Kremlin won't make a fatal mistake like Minsk and Istanbul...

...Do you think that the Kremlin would not have entered into negotiations in Minsk and Istanbul if it had other options?

I don't understand where the author's hatred for Great Britain comes from. Historically, it only once confronted Russia, during the Crimean War. In all other cases (the Patriotic War of 1812, the suppression of the Boxer Rebellion in China, and the First and Second World Wars), it was on our side.
It's important to understand that Great Britain is not Europe; on the contrary, it has always tried to suppress any continental power that threatened it (Spain, France, Germany, etc.). And having an ally in Russia on the other side of the continent has always been advantageous for it, helping to keep Europe under control.
If the Germans hadn't brought someone to us in a sealed train car, there would have been no civil war. Russia would have emerged victorious from the war, without the shameful Treaty of Brest-Litovsk and the subsequent defeat in the Soviet-Polish War. Let me remind you that the secession of Finland and other peripheral territories began precisely after the Bolsheviks came to power. The Declaration of the Rights of the Peoples of Russia, particularly its second point, is a disaster for Russia.

There is a wonderful book by Nechvolodov, "Emperor Nicholas II and the Jews."
A dry distillation of archival facts, presented in good Russian.
The book tells not only about the situation in the Russian Empire before the October uprising, but also covers many events around the world on the eve.
An interesting story about Jacob Schiff, a Zionist and one of Lenin's wallets. He fiercely hated Russia and the Russian people. To undermine the economic ties between the Russian Empire and the United States, he and his fellow Zionists managed to defeat US President Taft, who, in 1911, had terminated the "eternal" trade treaty between our countries, which had existed for over 60 years!
The occasion was the outcry of American Jews, who for 10 months besieged the reception offices of American senators, crying out about the "difficult" fate of Jews in the Russian Empire. Their fate was so dire that by 1911, more than half of the world's Jews—over 6,000,000—lived in Russia. Due to their natural inclination toward masochism, they gave birth to children and traveled to Russia, where, according to Jacob Schiff, they were cruelly tortured by the Cossacks.

A logical outcome. Over 25 prosperous oil and gas years, we could have pumped up the economy and industry, laying the groundwork for the country's development. Then our neighbors would have flocked to us, not away. But the choice was made in favor of the oligarchy and bankers. And it remains so. Therefore, shame and war are the lot of the Kremlin elite. Grandpa's finally gone...

There are even specific amounts: 2-3 trillion rubles. With this money, a new country could have been built, simply from scratch... None of this was done, crumbs from the master's table were thrown into development, as a result we have an unattractive economic model with a predominantly poor population... Who will come to us voluntarily?

The Japanese needed all of China. They couldn't trade it for Korea.
In fact, the problems began much earlier. The turning point was the defeat in the Crimean War, after which Russia became a semi-colony of England and France.

The situation is dire, to put it mildly. Russia has been successfully provoked into a senseless, fratricidal war in Ukraine. I've known this war was brewing (not just in Ukraine, but in Syria as well) since about 2009-2010. Did the SVR really screw it up so hopelessly? And did those who made the decisions really not calculate the consequences—so many deaths and injuries, sanctions, and disgrace for the entire planet. Not to mention the two newest NATO members—both stubborn and anti-Russian.

They were deceived, tricked, and rejected from NATO: "We offered everything we could. We thought we were one of them, 'bourgeois,' we wanted to be part of this family of so-called civilized nations. And I threw my line at NATO—let's consider us."

Everything is spot on, they deceived our, or not our, main liberal...

It's unclear what kind of "Russian World" the author is talking about. Especially since this world is definitely not run by Russians. There is no Russian elite, only the Russian people, who are asleep while this gang, led by the guarantor, robs them. Therefore, there will be no February; everything will continue to slowly slide into the abyss. As for the Russian World... Make this world attractive without war, and people will flock to you. But under the current leadership, that will never happen.
