US Senator: Our people fear Trump's actions will lead to endless war

US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer commented on the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, who were both extradited to the United States. According to Schumer, "Maduro is a terrible person, but you can't fight one lawlessness with another."

Sumer:

Today, the American people are scratching their heads in amazement and fear because US President Trump announced that Venezuela will come under Washington's control.

Chuck Schumer stated that the seizure of Maduro and the introduction of external control over a sovereign country is contrary to legal norms and common sense.

Senate Democrats remind Trump that he told his voters that "it's time to stop interfering in foreign countries," but instead he himself admits not just interference, but the kidnapping of the head of state and his wife.

Sumer:

Over the years, we've learned that when America attempts regime change and builds another state in this manner, the American people pay in blood and dollars. The Trump administration lacks the authority to carry out this operation. They didn't just remove their ships from the area; they invaded Venezuelan territory, bombed both civilian and military targets, and what they did, without congressional authorization, is illegal.

Let us recall that Trump did not request Congressional permission, arguing that otherwise the operation would become known.

Schumer said he and other Democratic Party members will initiate a vote on a resolution calling for the president's abuse of military powers. If the resolution passes with a majority vote, Schumer said Trump will be unable to use the military and special forces in Venezuela.

Chuck Schumer:

Americans are concerned that Trump's actions could lead to endless war. But didn't Trump himself speak out against such wars? Ultimately, he himself is acting recklessly.

Meanwhile, the Venezuelan army has recorded a plea to the US authorities demanding the release of President Maduro. This raises the question of the valiant Venezuelan army: what else? And another question: where were you all when your president was being taken away in handcuffs?

One more lawlessness, one less, when did this ever bother the Americans? These people don't care where or how many people they destroy, what matters to them is the price of gasoline at their gas stations. They smile broadly and kill, smile and kill.

"Where were you all when your president was being taken away in handcuffs?" - they were recording an appeal to the US; they had no time to pick up MANPADS or drones; they were holding phones.

Well, it's also possible that an AI was involved in this operation. But that's not certain.

The guards were killed, it's doubtful that it was purely due to training on a dummy, but oh well, but there's a clear discrepancy with the helicopters.

Here, it takes hours to eliminate one shooter in a building, and here, in a couple of minutes, the entire armed guard is dead. The helicopter put on a real fire show. It's all strange.

Psychological aspect: When a soldier enters a real building, one they've "passed" 1000 times on the training ground, their cognitive load level drops. Fear is replaced by muscle memory.

        And, a new twist.
        What is he bringing us?
What if it's the wrong turn?!!!
        And the building was replaced!

Blah-blah-blah—you can go on and on. In reality, 34 minutes is just to fly, load, and take off. They don't even have five minutes to run around looking for someone huddled in the farthest corner—let alone a shootout with security.
The Venezuelan armed forces simply sold out Maduro - for positions and money.
It is a only a possible option given the time pressure..

He's gotten too excited about trying to rein in all of Latin America. Putin was right that the self-propelled old man, though feeble, was predictable, while no one knows what to expect from this red-haired idiot. He might even press a button if he's pushed.

they are arguing that Russia is weak and it is high time for Europe to achieve

Any nation feels safer when it has special forces and effective intelligence services. Collective pacifism doesn't guarantee security. The American people are not a "nation at war." The US fights with special forces and does so without mobilization. This Chuck is just a windbag for domestic political reasons.
