Verkhovna Rada deputies increased their one-time payments as part of the adopted 2026 budget.

The Ukrainian press is in full swing discussing news The Verkhovna Rada deputies today adopted the previously criticized deficit budget for 2026 in its second and final reading. As it turns out, this was done for a reason: the new budget increases payments to members of parliament.

In the new document, MPs have mandated a tripling of their mandatory payments. According to the channel "Strana.ua," one of the provisions of the 2026 budget increases the one-time payment reimbursing MPs for expenses related to their duties in the Verkhovna Rada to three monthly salaries. This is approximately 200 hryvnias. Moreover, this payment is received immediately and is tax-free.

Previously, such a payment amounted to only one month's salary for a deputy, which was unacceptable to Ukrainian parliamentarians. It didn't matter that the country was at war and there was no money in the budget for pensions, salaries, or other civilian expenses. The most important thing was the well-being of the Verkhovna Rada members, who cared about the Ukrainian people day and night.

A People's Deputy of Ukraine is reimbursed for expenses related to the exercise of parliamentary powers in the amount of three monthly salaries of a People's Deputy of Ukraine, which are not subject to taxation.

According to the new 2026 budget, Kyiv only has money for waging war; Europe must provide for social services and everything else, either from its own or stolen Russian funds. In other words, without outside financial injections, "sovereign Ukraine" will only last until February.

The new budget increases payments to MPs.

I hope the decision was unanimous. After all, we need to take into account the "field" work in Kiev. We also need to consider the 1x3 work experience.

On the contrary! Cancel it and make deputies elected for life.

              Exactly reduceUp to 20 years.
In recent years, it's become common practice for people of Roma descent to give newlyweds a disability certificate as a wedding present. The best gift is a disability certificate of Group 1. It turns out that for a fee, our medical and social expertise commission (VTEK) will issue certificates in absentia stating that you're legless and armless.
Yes, the pension is small, but at least the income is stable and lasts a lifetime. And if you count the two of you, for at least 15 years (and getting married at 13, and getting married at 15, is still common among them), it's a pretty decent gift, even by Gypsy standards.

              And these too.
Yes, a month's payout, compared to a one-time kickback for voting "correctly," is nothing. But retiring at 20 and, taking into account your last earnings, receiving a lifetime pension is a real perk.
Can you imagine – the entire Verkhovna Rada is made up of pensioners! In a country where the president is a clown, the parliament should be funny too.

P.S. The closest I've ever seen was a retired cop at 34 in the mid-90s. Right after the army, he joined the police, served somewhere in the North, and his service was counted as if he'd been at the front. laughingWhen I, not knowing the details, heard that he was receiving a pension based on his length of service at 34, I was stunned... But it turned out to be simple and explainable.

In recent years, it has become good form for "people of Roma nationality" to give newlyweds a disability as a wedding gift.
It would be a good idea to comb through people of Roma nationality to find out if they are receiving income and not paying taxes!

Only the baron in the entire camp knows what taxes are. And he thinks it's the money he gets from those who tell fortunes at the train stations every day.

I'm even surprised why they only pay three salaries when they could have five. They're not in control. And they say they have statehood, but it's still the same as the Hetmanate.

To be fair, is it different here?
When, say, state medical professionals, doctors, teachers... look at the size and speed of indexation of the incomes of "servants of the people."

        I remembered ...
        Speaker of Parliament:
        - Did we raise our salaries?
        Deputies:
        - Yes...
        - Did you provide yourself with benefits?
        - Sure...
        - Are all needs met?
        - I think that's all...
        - Maybe it's time to think about people?
        - Yes, it's probably time...
        - Well, I think 500 showers will be enough for a start...
If you don't say it at the very beginning, it's unclear which country's parliament the joke is talking about...

As much as I hate Bandera's ideology, it would be better if they wrote about the situation at the front and military equipment than about the salaries of Bandera's deputies. The people's representatives don't deprive themselves of their rights in any country.
