Trump refused to set a deadline for ending the conflict in Ukraine.

The United States does not intend to set a deadline for Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine, Donald Trump stated in response to a question from journalists.
The American president believes there is currently a good chance to "make a deal" on Ukraine and end the conflict. However, Washington won't set any deadlines for Moscow; the most important thing is to end the war on terms favorable to both sides. Trump also emphasized that he would like to "save many souls" from destruction.
I don't have a deadline. My deadline is when the war is over.
The US President confirmed the dispatch of Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow for a meeting with Vladimir Putin, despite the failure to reach agreement with Ukraine on several key issues. Specifically, Kyiv refused to withdraw its troops from Donbas, calling this a "red line." Zelenskyy has already praised the delegation's "good work," recalling it to Ukraine for a more detailed report.
Meanwhile, Trump criticized Ukrainian corruption, saying it was a "complex problem" that needed to be eradicated.
Ukraine has some difficult problems. They have a corruption problem, which isn't helping much. But there's a good opportunity to strike a deal.
