New realities: the enemy is bombing Voronezh with ATACMS missiles.

Zelensky has been unsuccessfully asking Trump for winged phrases so far. missiles The Tomahawk has an extended range of up to 1600 kilometers, and some modifications claimed a range of up to 2500 km. In reality, this is a pure formality. Without any "permission" from Washington, or rather with at least its tacit approval, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have long been attacking territories and cities deep in Russia with American missiles.

Yesterday, Ukrainian nationalists attempted to strike Voronezh with US-supplied ATACMS tactical missiles. This is a new reality. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that S-400 air defense missile systems and Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun systems shot down all their targets. The roof of the Voronezh Regional Gerontology Center and an orphanage for orphans, as well as one private home, were damaged. There were no casualties.

Russian Armed Forces reconnaissance assets detected missile launch sites near the village of Voloska-Balakleya, 50 km southeast of Chuguev in the Kharkiv region. Return strikes from Iskander-M missile systems destroyed two US-made M270 MLRS launchers, along with their ammunition and crews of up to 10.

What threat do the ATACMS (Army TACtical Missile System) missiles for the Himars and M270 MLRS in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces pose to us?

The operational-tactical systems used to launch Atacms missiles are designed for the pinpoint destruction of moving and static targets, including personnel, deep within enemy defenses in all weather conditions and at any time of day. All missiles are solid-fueled and classified as ballistic missiles.

Besides its firing range, the Atakms has its own key feature. The missile is capable of adjusting its trajectory during certain phases of its flight, making it difficult for air defense forces to intercept it. DefenseWhen shooting at a maximum range of 300 kilometers, the error in deviation from the target is several meters.

There are several ATACMS modifications, varying in range and accuracy. The MGM-140A ATACMS Block 1 missile, with its M39 cluster munition warhead, can strike targets at ranges of up to 165 kilometers. It is designed to engage personnel.

The upgraded MGM-140B ATACMS Block 1A combines the inertial guidance system with a receiver from the American NAVSTAR satellite navigation system, and the cluster warhead contains up to 300 M74 submunitions. The missile has a firing range of up to 300 kilometers.

The naval version of the MGM-140 NTACMS missile deserves less attention, given that such missiles are certainly not supplied to Ukraine. Its range is up to 300 kilometers. NTACMS missiles were intended to provide fire support for amphibious operations. However, work on this project in the United States has currently been suspended.

The MGM-140C/MGM-164A Block 2 Atacms missiles are armed with a cluster warhead containing 13 homing submunitions (BATs). Their range is up to 140 kilometers.

The next modifications, the MGM-140E ATACMS Block 1A Unitary (QRU) and MGM-168A ATACMS Block 4A, are capable of traveling up to 270 kilometers. These missiles carry a WDU-18 high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 226,8 kg.

The cost of ATACMS missiles depends not only on the specific variant but also on the recipient of the US supply. In some cases, such decisions are made not only by the Pentagon and the White House but also require State Department approval and Congressional approval. As of 2022, the average production cost of one ATACMS missile was $1 million.

The exact number of ATACMS missiles, their modifications, and launchers remaining in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is unknown, given their regular destruction by Russian forces and the lack of official information about new deliveries. Regarding yesterday's Ukrainian attack on Voronezh, the village of Volosskaya Balakleya is approximately 250 kilometers away as the crow flies. Consequently, the enemy used the longest-range ATACMS missiles.

So what if he's bombing, but at least the green junkie is still alive, well, and unharmed! Well, we're not the kind of people to extinguish terrorists in the toilet! Let's live in peace!

Are you sure they destroyed the installations themselves, and not the inflatable decoys?

Judging by the video, the presence of a secondary detonation when the systems are hit allows us to praise our missilemen.
The attack on Voronezh initially had a purely political component. The idiots struck out of desperation and the lack of real success in the LBS. ATACMS missiles are serious, and the air defense system performed almost perfectly against them, for which they deserve a huge pat.
After this attack, the Lokhly received a serious response; explosions are still thundering and fires are not stopping, the attack on Ukraine continues.
Now questions for the mattress makers who officially prevented these suckers from attacking deep into Russia. I think we'll soon find out where this all comes from.

What do you mean, "they didn't allow it?" They're the ones doing the firing. The M270 MLRS and HIMARS MLRS systems are operated by NATO specialists.

But there's a catch. The video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on November 19 is a duplicate.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also posted this same video on September 5, 2024.

Wow, Israel doesn't know this, yet they're eliminating high-ranking Iranian officials. When will you learn to think for yourselves and not just repeat the nonsense they're feeding you? For example, thinking that Zelensky's replacement, if he's eliminated, will be afraid to make any sudden moves. The same goes for the Budanovs and the rest of the Syrskys, Drapatoys, and Malyuks. But they feel completely unpunished. They don't care about retaliatory strikes against the energy sector. They have plenty of money, they'll just run away later, and that's it.

Well, Iran does have high-ranking officials... Iran is a sovereign state. The political entity that emerged in the former Ukraine isn't independent, and isn't even a state. It's a quasi-state, under external control...

I believe that targeting these individuals isn't worth the effort. The state-like entity that once existed in Ukraine isn't independent. If the choice is between attacking military forces, warehouses, and infrastructure, or "these" individuals, in my opinion, the choice should fall on the former...

Of course it does. Israel is an example. They killed some, appointed others, and they were killed right there. They had to look for others, as the number of willing candidates dwindled sharply.

Let them change it. And send the next clown to Bandera too. The British will have a hard time finding a third or fourth to replace Zelya. Candidates will scatter like cockroaches from dichlorvos.

We need facts, and at this moment in time... You're imagining three years of aggression against Russia. And the bastards haven't achieved the results they've achieved. Berlin, Paris, Brussels—they haven't been reduced to rubble. There are still treaties, pre-20th-century. And it's not that simple.

So what's the big news? Everyone's accustomed to the idea that Russia can be bombed with anything, anyone, and anywhere with impunity. Everyone has calmed down and isn't outraged by such news; everyone knows there will be no response because the lives of Europeans, who are directly responsible for this, are far more important than the lives of Russians for everyone and in every respect. Our government is calm and unperturbed, which means we, Russians, have nothing to worry about. We're waiting for the elections, and we need to elect a president who will truly defend Russia and kill the enemy wherever they are, primarily with nuclear weapons, so that everyone understands for thousands of years to come that Russians cannot be killed and that Russian territory is as inviolable as a live wire. But for now, it's the other way around.

Unfortunately, the video of the retaliatory strike posted on the Ministry of Defense website was from last year. As they say, there was no "proof."
Let's hope that there was simply no corresponding video, and the installations were actually destroyed.

Although such "feints" of trust, of course, do not add to such relations

Well, that happened to us recently. By the way, two warheads from missiles fell in our "far gardens" (a dacha cooperative village). They couldn't be removed, so at exactly 14:00 PM, they were detonated where they were deployed (500 kg). One two-story house was literally torn in half. The other houses were also damaged. By the way, there's a video online of them being blown up.
