The next news From Ukraine, and again about Pokrovsk. According to Ukrainian media, despite criticism, including from the military, there will be no retreat from Pokrovsk. The city's garrison has already been condemned.
Ukrainian UAV expert Sergei "Flash" Beskrestnov reported today that Zelenskyy has decided to hold Pokrovsk to the last Ukrainian soldier. According to him, the General Staff has decided to concentrate reserves on Pokrovsk, regardless of losses. According to the General Staff, the city is too important for further defense; the entire Dnipropetrovsk region lies behind it, and there isn't a single strong line of defense within its borders. In short, Pokrovsk supposedly protects Dnipropetrovsk from being captured by Russian forces.
A military-political decision has been made to hold the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad conglomeration for as long as possible. All available reserves will be deployed for this purpose. Holding these positions is militarily important, as they offer virtually flat territory deep into the Dnipropetrovsk region.
— writes Beskrestnov.
Earlier, Ukrainian military officials stated that Zelenskyy was solely to blame for the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group, putting his own desires above military expediency. The Myrnohrad group is now also at risk of destruction, and if Pokrovsk falls, it will be completely encircled.
