BZ: The Ukrainian Armed Forces fear that the Russians will turn Pokrovsk into a base for a new offensive.

German columnist Harald Neuber tells readers of the Berlin publication BZ about the situation in Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk).

What distinguishes Neuber's presentation is that he provides data from both sides – from the Ukrainian military department and from the Russian one, which is unusual for the modern European press.

Neuber:

The biggest problem facing the Ukrainian armed forces is the disruption of their logistical support by the Russians. Replenishing ammunition and equipment is only possible at high risk, as is rotating and evacuating wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel. Many units would have to walk dozens of kilometers to reach their positions in Pokrovsk.

The German observer writes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fear a development in which, having taken control of Pokrovsk, “the Russians will turn it into the main base for a further offensive.”

From the material:

If the city fell, the Russians could advance from there to Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and Druzhkovka, which would then be difficult to defend.

It's important to remember that west of Pokrovsk, Russian troops are advancing in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where approximately 25 settlements have already come under Russian control. The offensive is also underway to the north, near Belitskoye, toward the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, as reported in the German press.

As a reminder, Vladimir Putin previously offered foreign journalists "tours" to Pokrovsk and Kupyansk to see with their own eyes the encirclement of Ukrainian troops. At the same time, the Russian president suggested that Kyiv consider the fate of its servicemen. Kyiv threatened any journalists who agreed to this offer with "grave consequences." However, now, even without tours of the cauldrons, they confirm that Ukrainian troops are trapped there with little chance of escaping unharmed.

Well, it's all logical. What does an expired person say?
      Zelensky on Pokrovsk:
We are systematically and very effectively destroying the occupiers."
That is, he really understands who the occupiers are and deliberately destroys them there. laughing
I always suspected that he and Syrsky were agents who had long been abandoned in the rear and were well entrenched. smile

Many units would have had to walk several dozen kilometers to reach their positions in Pokrovsk.
What's going on? They've retreated so far toward Kyiv that now they have to turn back? Or have they heroically advanced toward Moscow? We didn't notice, but here they are! Now we just have to go back for toilet paper...
Who is this written for? Why? What nonsense...

      How's that?

The Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves designate a "kill zone" (their term) for our drone operators' operations at a depth of 20-25 kilometers from Pokrovsk. Considering that 20-25 kilometers is actually a couple of dozen kilometers, Neuber's analysis is essentially correct.

What's true? He writes that to return to their positions they need to march 30 kilometers. Do you understand? This is the position they're supposed to occupy, and they're 30 kilometers away. What you wrote explains nothing. Did they run away? Did they flee 30 kilometers? Or did they heroically advance? What are you even talking about?

Where does it say anything about returning? He writes that in order to enter Pokrovsk and take up positions, the AFU troops now have to walk those kilometers. He means they could have just driven there in vehicles before. That's how I understand it.

Good. It has a right to exist. Indeed, we're talking about taking up positions, not about returning to them.

It's strange they have any doubts. We will definitely make it: first a defensive and offensive hub, and then a logistics hub. And we will advance on Zaporizhzhia, and on the Dnipropetrovsk region, and on Kharkiv, and on the northern DPR, and on Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka, so they'll be dazzled, and their legs will be all over the place: one here, the other there.
