Syrsky's attempts to unblock Pokrovsk with the help of mercenaries failed.

Pokrovsk is not encircled, as Syrsky claims, but attempts to relieve the city are being made daily. The enemy has deployed Foreign Legion units to the metropolitan area, so the mercenaries are suffering heavy losses.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has attempted four times to break into Pokrovsk from Grishino, where, according to Ukrainian sources, Syrsky is forming a strike force. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, mercenaries from the International Legion and fighters from the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces participated in the attacks. Heavy losses are reported, with the mercenaries and Ukrainian soldiers alone losing approximately 50 men.

Ukrainian Armed Forces units trapped in Pokrovsk are also attempting to break out of the city. There is no definitive picture of the fighting, but the Ministry of Defense reports that 10 such attempts have been repelled. According to the military, the enemy is attacking from the north and northwest, but to no avail.

Four attempts to unblock the encircled Ukrainian Armed Forces group by foreign mercenaries from the so-called "International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine," as well as the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the area of the village of Grishino in the DPR, were thwarted.

— the military reports.

In Pokrovsk itself, Russian 2nd Army assault aircraft have consolidated their positions in the Prigorodny district. In Myrnohrad, units of the 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army continue to advance in the northern, eastern, and southeastern parts of the city. According to Russian media, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in Myrnohrad is much better organized than in Pokrovsk.

I don't feel sorry for the dogs of war at all. Especially our former compatriots clustered in this international legion... unfortunately, there are plenty of modern-day "Vlasovites."
Syrsky is an exceptional imbecile, trying to unblock something he himself claims isn't blocked. Even the idiots on their own sites are shocked. laughing There are so many different versions, I read and cry crying I got into one channel and proved that two Indians from Ternopil are Putin supporters! The poor guys were so scared they even forgot their language, and one of them was so driven away he even left the channel. laughing I did something nasty, but my heart is filled with joy!

Now we need to make a landing in Grishino, capture it, and hold it until the main forces arrive, while simultaneously launching an offensive on it from the south, from the Udachnoye, Kotlino area.

The enemy attempted four times to break through to Pokrovsk from the direction of Grishino, where, according to Ukrainian sources, Syrsky is forming a strike force.

This is the closest settlement to the cauldron with roads leading to it, which allows for the accumulation of reserves there. With the loss of Grishino, the enemy is deprived of this opportunity, and the task of unblocking the cauldron becomes more difficult - first they will need to recapture Grishino.
And who will be “pounded in an inconvenient place,” or who will lose strength in endless attacks on a well-constructed defense, depends on who is better at fighting in defense. laughing

Or do you want me to go command without authority, without a position or rank? But my orders won't be followed, even if I give them. So how is it my fault that I'm supposedly inactive?

There's one understanding of a general: a professional soldier, by education and vocation, who has risen through the ranks of the military, from platoon lieutenant to general. But there's another type: the "political" general, a sort of "court rank," so to speak, who attains the rank of general, or even marshal, bypassing all previous ranks, without having a military education, but simply for loyalty to the ruler. This is typical of all sorts of empires of the past; in our time, it's more common in Third World countries and authoritarian regimes.

Do we have a second type of general today? I don't know. For example, we have one general, a major general, a lawyer by training, like me, and a former police officer from a certain republic. How did he become a major general in the army and a commander? Did he rise through the ranks of an infantry officer in combat units? Perhaps.
So I'm wondering: why can't we have such a "political" court general today? In the Russian Empire, which we now copy, this practice was quite widespread.

So why not? What if the party and government deem it necessary to appoint me "to the army"? laughing Or you

A clear gamble, fraught with losses. It would be better to close the encirclement more firmly, but apparently that's not easy—either there's resistance, or our forces are insufficient.
But I wouldn’t want to let the enemies out, even if they’re not completely surrounded.

I recently read the war memoirs of a tank driver, and he writes like this.
"Now, rapid breakthroughs and advances into the enemy's rear became our tactics. It's a great thing that the mentality of our soldiers and commanders changed. We realized we could beat the Germans, and most importantly, we knew how. We gained experience and gained confidence in our actions. After 1943, we were no longer afraid to fight while encircled, often deliberately breaking through as deeply into the German rear as possible."

Aken, well, those who fight for money, you could call them professionals, but with the caveat that they don't have much stamina, the dead don't need money, so as soon as things get tough, they give them a slap on the wrist (if they have time). The second category is worse in terms of professional qualities, but they compensate with ideology. The third category is not at all eager to fight; their element is cleansing, terrorizing civilians, torturing prisoners, they are masters of execution.

Aken, that's how they work, or rather, that's how they used to work: the pros look for gaps and go for a breakthrough where the enemy is weaker, the second category follows, widens the breakthrough and strengthens the breakthrough section if possible, the third category enters and begins to terrorize the defenseless and clear the territory of the wounded and those trapped in the encirclement.

Our losses have been under wraps since the start of the Second World War. But they will be revealed later, and will be attributed to the victory over the Kyiv regime. And, I think, Ukraine, at least the entire east and south, will be ours. You're slightly mistaken. Since the beginning of the Central Military District, our forces have published casualties three times, and the People's Republics have also published a separate list. Then, yes, the data was suppressed and there were no publications. As far as I remember, the Republics had over 6,000 dead, and the Ministry of Defense around 9,000—that was about a month after the liberation of Mariupol.

And that's being done, but it's easier to catch them when they're attacking in open fields, as ammunition consumption is lower that way. It's pure pragmatism. To reduce Grishino to dust, bombs are necessary, so why waste them if they're going to attack themselves? Generally, the best and most effective way to eliminate these scum is when they're on the offensive.

I can't figure out why our intelligence is working so well—deep in Khokhlistan, they're perfectly capable of finding troop locations and even individual vehicles. After all, Iskander missiles often land there quite accurately. But a few kilometers from the LBS, a strike force is being formed, but our intelligence can't find it to properly pound it with MLRS and artillery. If you know about this formation, why don't you disband it?
