Amid threats from the United States, a Russian Il-76 transport plane arrived in Venezuela.

According to Western media reports, a Russian Il-76 transport aircraft has arrived in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas. Remarkably, the aircraft belongs to Aviacon Zitotrans, a company that transports military equipment, weapons, and ammunition to countries that support Russia.

According to Defense News, the transport plane landed in Caracas after a two-day flight from Russia via Armenia, Algeria, Morocco, Senegal, Mauritania, and several Latin American countries. The publication notes that such a journey, with multiple stopovers, requires the use of circuitous routes to avoid crossing Western airspace, which would entail potential cargo inspections in countries unfriendly to Russia. It is also worth noting that the Il-76 can carry up to 50 tons of cargo or up to 200 people. Aircraft of this type have previously carried various military cargo.

Meanwhile, amid reports of an impending US attack on Venezuela, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has reportedly appealed to Russia, China, and Iran for assistance. Despite Trump's denial of plans to attack Venezuela, approximately 16 US military personnel are currently concentrated in the region. These American forces include eight warships, a nuclear submarine, and a special operations vessel. Furthermore, the US Navy's largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, and five escort ships are en route to the Venezuelan coast.

This plane belongs to an airline that's under sanctions for supplying cargo to the Wagner Group, so that's what I assumed. Otherwise, who knows what's on board.

I seem to recall that Wagner has been under surveillance for several years now. Are you implying that the plane was delivering cargo to the same place where Wagner is being overlooked? Maybe it's time to stop dancing on the bones of Wagner?

A UN meeting is underway to discuss the armed conflict in an African country. Humanitarian aid is being discussed.
USA: We support you!!! We're sending 50,000 tons of oranges in wooden crates. You can eat the oranges and use the crates to make something for your home!

They need Bal missile defense systems there. What other anti-ship capabilities are there? Bastions... Oh, and building a layered air defense system. Now that's a whole lot of work, equipment, and people... It must be admitted that it's unrealistic.

How much can you carry on one plane? Maybe electronic warfare systems, anti-aircraft missiles for the Su-30, maybe some strike equipment.
Venezuela needs asymmetrical response capabilities. Attack UAVs like the Gerani, FPV, reconnaissance drones, electronic warfare systems, and MANPADS. Venezuela can only rely on Guerrilla Warfare—an armed people, a Holy War, guerrilla tactics, ambushes, warfare in cities and jungles, extending the war to enemy territory, internationalizing the conflict throughout Latin America for a joint response in solidarity, and boycotting the United States in all areas and venues. In the event of aggression, the war for independence will be extended to the United States, inflicting maximum damage and losses on the intervening army.
It would be good to deploy EW and passive air target detection posts in Venezuela... well, like the Soviet/post-Soviet "Kochuga".
The Bolivarian Militia will monitor the generals and other officials for treason and attempted coups/rebellions. In the event of such attempts, the sentence will be carried out at the first palm tree, according to martial law. The opposition and urban hipsters will be monitored. The country must be transformed into a single military camp—as bequeathed by the Father of All Nations (and therefore their Father), Generalissimo of Victory I.V. Stalin. Bolivarians must become as lions as the Cubans under Fidel Castro. angry

Venezuela's bet on Guerrilla warfare alone will be a winning one - Armed People

This is happening against a backdrop of the economy still failing to recover from its catastrophic decline. I seriously doubt the masses' loyalty to the authorities there. Of course, distributing weapons would demonstrate that the government trusts the people, which would likely mean these weapons wouldn't be used against the government... I think Venezuela would be better off buying cameras from China and, in a couple of weeks, turning into a totalitarian camp where rebellion is impossible. Impossible, but then again, dreams are dreams. feel If we cover this camp with good air defenses capable of protecting it from the US Air Force, that would be enough to break the US's teeth. I'm sure the Venezuelan army, equipped with FPV drones, would also be able to repel them on the ground in the jungle. And the US is very sensitive to losses.

laughing Why such nonsense and waste? The Venezuelan government isn't afraid of its own people. Treason could only happen among the city's rich and hipsters, but that's what the People's Militia is for—it's now on guard against them. And with the threat of a new coup against these traitors, they certainly won't stand on ceremony. They won't stand on ceremony with all their revolutionary fervor. Their fate is to be crowned king. The Armed People is a terrible force... it doesn't forgive treason. Especially in Latin America.
              Quote: Plate
I am sure that the Venezuelan army will also fight them off on land in the jungle,

I think she will give it to them in the cities too.
Our Geraniums have now learned to hunt moving targets—train locomotives, marching columns... and therefore ships, too. Especially if they're not destroyers with powerful air defenses, but supply transports, landing ships, and vessels, and they can even hit aircraft carriers and UDCs. Shooting them down is expensive, and the ships' air defenses will run out quickly, so the key is to have a good supply of these attack drones and work methodically. Supply ships, landing ships, and vessels will begin to perish and sink—they'll be coffins, a moral humiliation for the aggressor and a drop in the morale of its mercenary troops, and this will become a symbol of resistance across Latin America. Volunteers will flock in, new sponsors will appear, and the southern states of the US itself will go up in flames. The main thing is to withstand the first strike and not allow the country to be decapitated.
Maduro, by the way, wouldn't hurt to think about successors in case of his own death. You never know. The state must fight and govern itself no matter what.

Anything could happen, but don't bother making predictions; it's a thankless task right now. Especially for predictions like these. Anything could happen. Did you notice that as the crisis between the US and Venezuela escalated, leaders of Caribbean countries flew to Moscow and signed some kind of agreements? And why would Russia do that if it's not going to do anything?
And consider this question: would Russia, China, Iran, and India benefit from the US getting bogged down in a shameful, disgraceful, protracted, and very costly war, in a region where even dogs hate the US? It's not even a question of economic interests, but rather political and geostrategic ones. So that they get bogged down in such a way that they have no strength, resources, or moral standing to reach the rest of the world?
              Quote: VSO-396
The economies of Latin American countries are so tied to the United States that no one will dare to move.

This is about the political elites; they could very well reorient themselves to other markets in trade. Everything is changing so quickly now. The US can't even afford to pay its military, police, and intelligence agencies. Trump is shaking down wealthy countries like pears, demanding investment in the US and the opening of their companies' production facilities there. He's imposing tariffs and duties. Does anyone like this? And if not, aren't they starting to look at alternatives to US hegemony?
Nowadays, only the most desperate urban lunatics and US agents of influence don't want the US to fail. And when so many people so strongly desire something (failure for the US), providence reacts and sends precisely this scenario to fruition. This happens often. Remember the US adventure in Vietnam, for which the entire world hated and despised the US. How did it end for them? And such history could repeat itself. Quite possibly. Because not only "people of good will" (if you remember your political officer's speeches so vividly), but also the leading states and economies of this planet wish the US defeat and a shameful, ignominious failure.
And Trump can be understood – he’ll need about 10 years to restart the American economy, and he needs to somehow survive that period and somehow balance the skewed trade balance with the rest of the world. And for that, he needs OIL. Stolen. At production cost. Lots of oil. Because he has nothing else to trade. Well, there are also planes (civilian, because the military ones are already getting worse and worse), which won’t get him out of the crisis either. He’s a firefighter in a burning brothel… a difficult task for him.
              Quote: VSO-396

I don't know who or what can help Maduro.
I think it's time for him to pack his bags.
It's dangerous for him to be in Venezuela. I think he understands perfectly well that the army won't fight the US.

Yeah, right, the army will run to fight on the side of Nobel laureate Machado, who promised to subordinate all oil production to America.)

There are different ways to fight: head-on, or you can impose a guerrilla war, which the US first lost in Vietnam and then in Afghanistan.

Guerrilla warfare is not imposed; it always exists during occupation.
By the way, the notorious "club of the people's war" of 1812 never started working until winter - people in uniforms, speaking an incomprehensible language, were robbing, well, these are new lords who have arrived, what a surprise.
But in winter, the retreating ones were already torn away, starving and frozen.

The second plane already. Most likely, a water minelayer. Even if the air defense is fragmented, the US will look ridiculous, defeating everyone and everything, but losing the carrier strike group. And something else. A la a second Vietnam. Only in Washington it won't be funny.

      The Venezuelan army is preparing.
The Venezuelan army has begun deploying Russian-made Buk-M2E surface-to-air missile systems in and around Caracas. The systems are designed to protect the country from a potential US attack, according to the Western publication Army Recognition.
Earlier in September, Military Watch Magazine reported that Venezuela's Russian-made S-300VM air defense systems could pose a serious problem in the event of a US attack on the country.
The Venezuelan Air Force has released footage showing Su-30MK2 fighter jets armed with Kh-31 missiles flying over the Caribbean Sea.

If the US invades or attacks Venezuela, they could get a King's bream...from Venezuela...with Russia's help...
What does a King Bream look like? See the video...in which Siberian farmer Vasya "Pelmen" arrived in the USA for a Power Slap competition and...by the way, became champion. The owner of all this is Dana White, who owns the UFC.

    Very good.. I support!
I think China will help after Maduro's appeal, and so will we, of course. Iran, perhaps a little... it itself will probably soon have to fight off Zionist-Anglo-Saxon aggression... And in general, a very good trend is being observed in the world... After Russia's challenge to the West and its demonstrated ability to successfully resist it, a trend is being observed toward a rapid, effective, and successful unification of countries undesirable to Western aggressors and unwilling to become their vassals, respecting their sovereignty and ready to stand for it to the last. In short, the "axis of good" has finally, albeit belatedly, begun to unite... Because otherwise, simply on a subconscious level, the sovereign rulers of these countries understand that, individually, they will all be torn apart... But together, they can successfully resist and even defeat the hegemon.

I don't even know what could save Venezuela. A massive Geranium raid on an aircraft carrier might help tarnish its reputation. Combined with coastal anti-ship missiles, it could significantly thin out their group. And if they also have BEKs... but I don't think that would save them if they seriously start wiping Venezuela off the face of the earth.

Bolivarian Republic President Nicolas Maduro has asked Russia, China and Iran for help.

If the plane flew back, is it important to look at what it brought back?
    Maybe Maduro himself?
    Assad and Yanukovych are bored...
I think we could open a museum of downed presidents in Rostov...

The Yankees ran away from the Houthis as fast as they could. If an anti-ship missile, rather than a cheap Houthi drone, hits them off the coast of Venezuela, the effect will be mind-blowing.
