The attempt by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to counterattack by airdropping troops north of Pokrovsk once again proves that, for the sake of a short-term, high-profile media effect, Kyiv is prepared to sacrifice not only regular Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel but also elite special forces.
Judging by footage published yesterday, Ukrainian GUR special forces landed from an American UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter near forested areas northwest of the encircled Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk). Moreover, it appears that, in addition to creating a media effect, the Ukrainian special forces were tasked with evacuating someone very important to Kyiv.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, at least 11 Ukrainian special forces soldiers who parachuted from an American Black Hawk have already been killed. The helicopter they arrived on was also destroyed by an FPV strike.droneOverall, this operation can be considered a simple "flag-bashing" and an attempt by Kyiv to create some kind of anti-crisis amid the Ukrainian Armed Forces' encirclement in Pokrovsk. However, the deployment of elite special forces for an openly suicidal mission raises questions...
