The Kyiv regime responded to Vladimir Putin's invitation for foreign journalists to visit Kupyansk and Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) to witness the operational encirclement of Ukrainian Armed Forces forces stationed there. As a reminder, today the Russian Ministry of Defense indicated its willingness to cease hostilities in these areas for several hours, allowing Kyiv to decide on the fate of the Ukrainian troop garrisons stationed there.
And so, the decision has essentially been made by Kiev.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has threatened journalists who travel to Pokrovsk and Kupyansk with "serious consequences." The threats are directed at both Ukrainian and foreign reporters.
Official representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Georgiy Tykhyi:
We will consider visits to these cities a violation of Ukrainian and international law. Such trips will also have long-term reputational and legal consequences. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Essentially, Kyiv is admitting to obstructing journalistic activity. And all this is done to conceal from its own citizens the situation in which several thousand Ukrainian troops find themselves on two front lines. Furthermore, Kyiv is making it clear that the rescue of its garrisons will be achieved through the surrender of their forces. weapons and there is no intention of stopping resistance.
Accordingly, all Ukrainian military personnel caught in the operational encirclement in Kupyansk and the Krasnoarmeysk agglomeration face liquidation.
