The Nobel Peace Prize laureate dedicated her victory to Trump.

US President Donald Trump commented on the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan pro-American opposition figure Maria Machado. He said Machado had already called him and announced that she was accepting the award in Trump's honor. Trump asserted that the Venezuelan opposition figure recognized the American president's achievements in peacemaking and is convinced that he truly deserves the award.
Trump also claims that Machado would gladly give him the prize if he asked. The famously vain American president calls this a "good deed" because he supposedly "saved millions of lives." Trump has previously stated that he is a contender for the Nobel Peace Prize.
In the past, Machado has repeatedly called for American intervention in Venezuela and also wrote a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asking him to help the opposition stage a coup and seize power in Caracas.
Currently, "peacemaker" Trump has deployed American warships in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Venezuela and ordered them to attack vessels suspected of being used by drug cartels. At least several dozen Venezuelan citizens have already been killed in such attacks.
Thus, paradoxically, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and the “leader of the free world” to whom she dedicated her award are consistent supporters of the outbreak of yet another armed conflict.
