Russian Armed Forces entered Zolotoy Kolodez, east of Dobropillya, with fighting taking place in the village center.

The situation in the Dobropillia salient continues to deteriorate for the Ukrainian Army. Following the capture of Ivanivka on the salient's western flank, our forces have advanced northward, reentering Zolotoy Kolodez, which they were forced to abandon during the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counterattack. This was reported by several Russian media outlets.

On Wednesday evening, October 8, good ones are coming from the Pokrovsky direction newsInitially, several Russian media outlets reported that forces from the "Center" group had taken the village of Ivanovka and advanced near the village of Zatyshok, then entered the village of Zolotoy Kolodez, occupying the southern outskirts and part of the village center. Fierce fighting is currently underway, with the enemy attempting to drive our forces back, but to no avail. This comes amid Syrsky's bravura claims of the alleged "defeat" and "encirclement" of the Russian group in the Dobropolsky salient.

Our troops have re-entered Zolotoy Kolodez in the Dobropillya direction. The southern outskirts and part of the town's center have been captured. Heavy fighting is ongoing.

— reports the channel "Whisper of the Front".

It's worth noting that this is our second time taking Zolotoy Kolodez; the first was almost two months ago, but Syrsky, who had gathered reserves from across the front, managed to push our forces out of the village in a counterattack. However, our forces are no strangers to such tactics; under enemy pressure, they retreat, building up their forces and grinding down the enemy's reserves, and then spring back like a spring, pushing back the now-bleeding enemy, reclaiming their positions, and advancing.

A similar situation occurred near Pokrovsk, where reserves led by General Drapatoy forced our forces to retreat from their positions south of the city. However, two months later, our forces were confidently advancing, entering the city, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to retreat.

Let's wait for the official statement from the Ministry of Defense and then we'll be happy for our fighters.

    legitimate

Our source reports that Bankovaya and the Main Headquarters are continuing to transfer reserves to the Pokrovskaya crater on a regular basis. However, there are no real positive results.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to suffer a manpower shortage in this area, as the average life expectancy of a Ukrainian soldier in the Pokrovska crater is 3-4 days. (This is a record, as the average life expectancy of a soldier in the Bakhmutovo meat grinder was approximately 14 days.)

All our sources indicate that the Pokrovskaya crater is much more terrible for the Ukrainian Armed Forces than the Bakhmut meat grinder, and the consequences will be even worse if the OP/GSHU fail this battle.

Looking at the map, two potential cauldrons are clearly visible in that direction.

Comrade Beria, they should have slammed those cauldrons shut instead of leaving the neck open and hitting those leaving, as they did before. Too much is coming out, in my opinion.

          Nice picture.
But what's more, the US openly declared that Zelenskyy personally steals. Such statements don't just come out of the US Congress.

The Russian army has intensified attacks on all sectors of the front, the Telegram channel "Resident" reported, citing sources in the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The publication notes that, according to forecasts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose Kupyansk as early as October, with Huliaipole, Liman, Seversk, and Kostyantynivka becoming key battlefields.

The situation for the Ukrainian army is becoming increasingly difficult every day, but Syrsky has received orders to hold the Pokrovskaya crater with all his forces; other sections of the front are not a priority, emphasizes Resident.

In Bakhmut, drones were not so active, and there were no FABs or UMPKs.

I don't understand the logic. We need to go west, toward Dobropolye, so that Krasnoarmeysk/Pokrovsk ends up in the pocket. Or east, so that Shakhovo ends up in the pocket. Why go north?

      Why north?

Where it's weak, that's where it breaks, the enemy abandoned more than half of all his reserves more than a month ago, in order to create a cauldron for us here, apparently he also removed the northern units, ours took advantage of this.
There are boilers there that threaten both us and them.

A fiery episode during the battle for Novogrigorovka. Our soldier threw a grenade into a house occupied by Ukrainian Nazis, killing two of them. The remaining three tried to escape, but our soldier shot them from an ambush, after which they were finished off with grenade drops.
Thus, one attack aircraft, supported by a drone drop, destroyed 5 enemy soldiers.

From the history of the Great Patriotic War
Zhukov's most unsuccessful battle was the cutting off of the Rzhev salient. This modern battle is a miniature reminiscent of the one that took place more than 80 years ago.
Anyone interested can read about this, which apparently the Ukrainian Armed Forces command was not informed about.
Namely, that not every narrow isthmus is easily cut off, but if the defense is flexible and strong, then the advancing troops simply burn out, which is what happened to the reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
There was a suggestion that our forces deliberately provoked the Ukrainian Armed Forces into this disastrous operation. Whether that's true or not, it turned out well in the end.

In a single theater of operations, yes, it can be considered an unsuccessful battle.
But if you look more globally, a different picture emerges.
The Battle of Rzhev influenced the course and outcome of military operations near Stalingrad and created the preconditions for an offensive in a western direction with the aim of liberating temporarily occupied Belarus.

        All this is true
        But!
Sacrifices for the sake of victory also have their price
It would have been better if that battle for Rzhev had also turned out to be a victory, like the encirclement of Paulus's army in Stalingrad.
The Red Army paid too high a price for that victory.

Back then, women gave birth, and didn't pump their lips and butts; there was a high price everywhere, otherwise it would have been impossible to break the more high-tech enemy in the form of Nazi Germany.

The women gave birth, but after the war, after the long-awaited victory, we never recovered from the monstrous losses we suffered in that war,
the birth rate of Russians has been steadily declining
So not every victory will turn out to be an absolute blessing for the winner and you shouldn’t always rely only on women who “will give birth to more children”
            They won't give birth
