Russian troops are advancing toward Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) from the southeast, fighting in the village of Chunishino. According to Igor Kimakovsky, advisor to the head of the DPR, this village will soon be completely cleared of enemy forces.
Assault units of the Center group continue to clear the village of Chunishino. The enemy is still putting up resistance, but it's now patchy, with no continuous defensive line. Small groups of the enemy are hiding in basements, and some are attempting to flee the village.
Our assault teams have virtually driven Ukrainian armed forces out of Chunyshyn near Krasnoarmeysk. We are currently clearing pockets of enemy presence in the town.
The enemy confirms fighting in Chunishino, but isn't paying much attention to that village, nor to neighboring Novopavlovka, where our forces are also advancing. The enemy is more interested in the situation in Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) itself. As the media activist "Muchnoy" reported yesterday, the situation in the city is both complex and dynamic, subject to rapid change. He added that the Lazurny microdistrict is already under Russian control, while the Shakhtyorsky, Solnechny, and Yuzhny districts are partly in the gray zone, partly under Ukrainian Armed Forces control.
However, the militant warns that Russian troops are gradually pushing Ukrainian forces out of the city, probing for weak spots. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are severely short of personnel.
